Convenient and Durable Option
My family and I like taking this with us on our beach trips to give us some privacy with the babies and shade. We've had it for over 5 years and it still works great! Easy to set up and break down, spacious, and has great options for ventilation (just open up side zippers). Great for family trips, keeps up safe from the sun, bugs and critters.

easy to setup and take down
In addition to this tent, I also bought the optional rain fly just for extra protection against leaks. I didnt use the rain fly for the first few camping trips as there no clouds in the sky and no predictions for rain. I found setup to be a breeze, it literally took just minutes to setup. The next trip i added the rainfly as there was a chance of rain. It turns out there were thunderstorms and rain for three days. I started finding puddles in the corners of my tent. I used old shirts or whatever I could to keep things dry. The water looked like maybe it was coming in around the stitching of the window or near the floor. It was not coming in through the rain fly. I started talking to others at the campsite with other models of coleman instant tents and all reported puddles in the corners. Despite all this, Im probably going to continue using this tent and just hoping it doesnt rain during my camping trips. Ill probably bring some extra towels or some other system to deal with corner puddles should it rain. Still better than dealing with those awful, awful tent poles. I still would recommend looking for better instant tents than this one. I'll probably buy a different one eventually. EDIT: OK after watching where the water was coming from, it seems to be from condensation. Originally it looked like the seams were leaking a bit but that doesnt seem to be the case. Ive started making sure the rainfly is on snug and opening the windows as much as one can when its raining and that seems to have helped with the moisture problem. Extra ventilation was all that was needed. UPDATE: OK ive been using this for a while and taken it on numerous trips. This has been a solid tent. I took a week long trip in South Dakota and this tent performed great. On day one there was a powerful thunderstorm with heavy rain. My tent stayed dry! Day three subjected me to 35 mph winds. Again the tent held up fine. I did accidentally burn a hole in the bottom of tent with a camping stove but this was easily fixed with flex tape. I'm upgrading my review from 4 to 5 stars

Amazing...
I am a 61 yr old male and last time I camp in a tent was at least 30-35 years ago. I hated it because it was almost like building a little cottage with pulling, pushing, yanking, stretching materials. Especially during summer those pipes were getting like fire after a while under the direct sunlight and burn our hands while constructing our masterpiece(!). Yet at the end it never looked like the ones you see in the brochures. You know, all stretched out perfectly without any wrinkle on it etc., Anyways, then lately my wife and I decided to try tent camping again because we saw this specific tent and read about how easy it was to setup. So, give it a shot! Long behold,WOW!!! They were correct! Why nobody thought this years and years ago and made my life easier while I was younger. It literally took about 60-90 seconds to put it up, including the stretch it with stakes and all. Great Tent!!! Take down was even much faster than that. Probably 30-45 seconds Now, I see at some reviews people talking about internal conditions related to waterproofing, temperature control etc... We are a good weather campers. I check the forecast before I go to camping trip. If there is a tornado warning, heavy rain storm forecast or similar conditions WE DO NOT go camping in a tent, nor we are climbing to Himalayas with sherpas in tow. My only experience that we've had a strong 15-20 mph wind one night with gusts to 25mph and tent stood up very well in that conditions and we were very comfortable inside. To sleep on, we used a self inflating twin airbed which becomes 18 inch high off the ground and my wife and I and our 17 lbs Maltipoo were happy in the tent with lots of rooms for other camping gear too. We have 4 person size and it is plenty of room if you are 1 or 2 people camping in it. For a family of 3, even with a young child I recommend 6 person version of this tent. But if you are 1 or 2 adults camping this is a PERFECT tent.

good value and well built
Amazon confirmed the order on August 18 and the tent arrived on August 23rd. Both Amazon and USPS performed flawlessly. I did a backyard setup to check out the tent before using it. In general, I was happy with the tent condition and quality. Note that I am basing my comments on the 10 year experience with the 8 person version of this Coleman tent, which I used all over the North Carolina, mountains to the coast. I will be using this tent for a November trip to Cape Lookout, so it will be a good test of its ability to survive weather and winds. Liked: water resistance looks good. Seams are tight and sealed well. I found only 1 pinhole in an examination of all the seams. There was a very small hole in one of the side panels and a small hole in the floor. Gorrilla Tape fixed both of these. Probably from manufacturer since packing looked new. Bug resistance is just a good as my previous tent Never had any issues with bugs inside as long as tentmates zipped up the doors quickly. Weight and ease of setup is excellent. The smaller tent can be easily set up by one person in a couple of minutes, and with 2 people it can be done in a minute, not counting staking and guy lines. Zippers worked smoothly, just be careful to keep the rain flap out of the way when operating. Also, don't force the door zipper around the top corner when closing, especially when the tent is staked taunt. Never had a zipper problem in 10 years of use with my previous tent. Issues: Don't expect the floor size advertised. Tent in not 8'x7'-6' as stated in the Amazon copy. The actual size is more like 8'x7' as marked on the tent wall, and Coleman appears to measure footprint between the external frame poles, so usable floor space something like 7'-8" x 6'x8". People Capacity: If you want to sleep 4 people, you all better like each other! It's a perfect size for an old guy (78) using a cot and a chair inside. Two adults is good, sleeping on pads. I think I could also fit my grandchild (5) in as well and be comfortable. Rainproofing: When new, the tent will; be very dry. With use, watch the seams and reseal them as necessary. After 10 years of use and a really bad storm on the beach, seam integrity of my old tent was compromised and trying to re-tape and seal them didn't work well enough, so I replaced the tent. Keep in mind, this storm was 14 hours long and winds exceeded 40 mph, based on reading from a nearby weather station, so it took a bad beating. In hindsight, I should have folded it up and slept in the truck. There is a design issue too. In a heavy rain, water will collect at the bottom of each of the windows, even with the covers zipped up. The fix would be to put the screens outside of the covers. Again, not a big problem if the seams are perfect, but as the tent ages, it will begin to leak under the windows. Also, the rain fly sold by Coleman will not remove this problem because it does not cover the windows. Bottom line, for the price, the tent is a good value, in my opinion, for a starter tent and one that gets light to moderate use. I am sure I will get years of use from it. I do recommend it

This Coleman Instant Tent is so easy to assemble and disassemble
This Coleman Instant Tent is so easy to assemble and disassemble. I can set it up in minutes. Taking it down and rolling it up tightly enough to fit in the storage bag takes a few more minutes. I use three small bungee cords to roll it up nice and snug. The rainfly accessory that goes along with the tent needs to be purchased to keep the rain, dirt and sun off the top of the tent. That too is easy to assemble and I keep my tent stakes and hammer in the zippered storage bag for the rainfly. There was plenty of space. The 4-Person tent is very roomy inside and I use a queen size air mattress and a milk crate turned upside down next to the mattress for a night stand. The mattress and the crate take up the width of the tent but the two make bedtime very convenient and comfortable. I'm 5' 6" and cannot stand up straight inside the tent, but I can stand with my head bent, which is much more comfortable than crawling around the inside of a low dome tent. I've taken this tent on about a dozen camping trips so far and haven't had any issues with it. I did replace the included tent stakes with heavy duty stakes which hold up well in the wind, not because I had an issue with the included stakes but because I had heavy duty stakes available. This is a durable, easy to assemble tent, and for me it was well worth the investment.

A good quality tent at an low rate.
I bought this product because I needed a tent to camp in at burning man. I needed something that would keep the playa dust out. That would stand up in the wind and was affordable when I did not have much of a budget. This tent is fully sealed. Itโs easy to set up. Itโs sturdy against the high winds. I was able to camp in it and let minimal dust from the desert enter. It was spacious enough to put a cot in it, a couple totes to store food, clothing, water. I layered the inside with a canvas drop cloth to help protect the floor. All around I was really satisfied with this tent. It made it through and has held up well. Also I think it will last as it is well made.

The AFTER 1 Year review and lessons learned...SPOILER DO NOT BUY THIS TENT...UNLESS...
...you ONLY camp in DRY weather!!! So this experience began as I purchased this 4 person tent a year ago so my wife and I could go camping for our anniversary. It seemed like a good deal and I have had other pieces of Coleman gear...sleeping bags, stoves etc since the 1970's and I was satisfied with the quality. First off...It took 3 times to get what one would consider a "new" tent. In all fairness, this could be due to the amazon/coleman returns process. The first had sand all in it and the second had a hole in the rear of the built in "rainfly". We did receive the 3rd tent with only a day or two to spare before going camping. Last year, we arrived in severe weather so we were stuck in the car until it passed and set camp late that night having thankfully nice weather until we left. Fast forward to this year, same campsite same tent. The first night to midday of the next day dry but breezy. Light rain started around 4pm as expected. Only 2 and a half hours of light to moderate rainfall into a 6.5 hour rain event, the roof started leaking at the seams and from inside the loop where you hang a light or something. Not long after that, say another 10 or so minutes, every seam under every window and even the back wall seam midway up the wall began to leak. As we started to see how much water was coming in, I noticed that ALL roof and wall panels are now saturated and water weeps inside directly where it lands on the outside! At about 9PM I knew there was a final line of heavy rain still to come before it all moved away so, I cut open a zip lock bag and used an entire roll of 1 inch gorilla tape to slow the ingress of water as it was ice cold and dripping on our bedding. we were committed since we couldn't get to our vehicle without becoming soaked. I should note that even when the heavy line came through, it was NOT severe. In total, we received about 1.5 maybe 2 inches of rain over the entire event. I know because I've been a trained NWS weather spotter for 2 decades and had my eyes on the radar. #weathernerd I will admit I became suspicious about the marketing of this model over the last year as I did see an additional rainfly available for this tent here on amazon. I thought why does it need another if they claim it has one built in and the whole thing has this weather tech coating complete with symbols of blowing wind? Back to the incoming weather. We DID have a wind advisory but being in a forest with 120ft+ tall trees, we never had anything on the ground level gusts higher than 10-20mph. I did have a tarp setup over the entrance that was facing the direction the rain was coming from (SW) so the doors did not leak as bad as every other surface did. I will say this, the "bathtub" design of this tent was SOLID and waterproof!! That is the ONLY reason for that extra star. We set the tent on top of a ground tarp but the bottom did not leak and thankfully so. While this was a challenge and we obviously didn't sleep well and had a fair amount of gear get wet, it did not completely ruin the trip. Keep in mind it was only used ONE other time a year apart and it stayed in it's case in storage. This is only a fair weather tent or for use in your back yard at home where if the weather turns wet, you can run into the house! Do not plan to use this for any camping where you have to drive any distance and/or to an event or occasion that is meaningful as it will let you down. The setup is pretty quick too, once you are used to it, you'll think of it as an inverted umbrella. In summary, do NOT take gear to the field without testing it first! I knew this and I just didn't because I ran out of time due to being sent used or defective merchandise. I mistakenly trusted a brand name and their marketing gimmicks. I will NOT be buying ANY other Coleman tents! Are they right for you? You, be the judge. Austin <><

Super easy to set up and down
We're beginner campers and loving this tent! After getting flooded away the first time with another tent during the rain, we bought this one. This one holds in rain! No leakage and dries fast after. Setting it up and taking it down is extremely simple and fast as well. It's like folding an umbrella reverse when taking it down. The video (don't mind my husband sleeping) shows the size of our tent, 4-people tent, and it's roomy for 2 but I don't think it's enough for 4; probably could squeeze in 3 skinny people. Highly recommend the 4-p size if you are 2 personnel.

Tenda molto spaziosa e comoda. Abbastanza alta per poterci stare in piedi. Aperture laterali per far circolare l'aria.

Size
As always with Colman 5***** however be aware its a instant tent NOT an instant shelter so every dimension is a coupl of inches smaller / shorter therefore shelter groundsheet and fly sheets overhang slightly but can still be used.
