Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser

Buckle up cause this is gonna be a long one. I always see people leaving 1 and 2 star reviews on some products that I absolutely LOVE, like this one. So finally I decided to read some of them. I’ve been using this makeup remover for 2 years now and if I hadn’t I would probably be skeptical buying if I saw the reviews so let me address most of the bad ones. 1.) doesn’t cleanse good/leaves oil/ you have to wash your face after using it Answer: this is a MAKEUP REMOVER cleansing BALM. It is meant to be followed up with a face cleanser, as is the next step in a skin care routine after makeup removal. Take a dime size amount and rub it in with your fingers, it will melt and feel like oil. Slowly start adding water (best to do in shower) and it will begin to turn to a sort of creamy consistency. Rinse off and follow with face wash. If you read the instructions and use the product properly it does exactly what it claims to, removes all of your makeup so you can start your skin care routine. 2.) smells bad Answer: this is a CLEAN product. It isn’t scented because that’s what is best for your skin. It is made without sulfates, parabens, and FRAGRANCES. It doesn’t smell bad, it just doesn’t smell like anything really. 3.) doesn’t remove mascara/waterproof mascara Answer: THIS IS NOT AN EYE MAKEUP REMOVER . God help us all. This literally says a makeup remover for SKIN. Overall this is a gentle makeup removing balm that has the option for exfoliating while cutting down on the waste of wipes and being super good for your skin. A little goes a long way and a tub lasted me over a year. All you need to have success with this product is - common sense, the ability to read and follow simple instructions, and the bare minimum simplest of skin care routines. If you have sensitive skin, sample this to make sure it doesn’t upset your skin. But it you’re someone who doesn’t like this product, make sure you’re using it properly before saying how awful it is. If you use it correct and still dislike it that’s one thing, but expecting it to do things it’s not meant for is unrealistic. You don’t get a good makeup remover, eye makeup remover, and face cleanser all in one.

I have used Drunk Elephant's vitamin C serum for years, so I don't know why it took me so long to find the makeup cleanser, but I am a fan. I have tried other makeup removers and while some have a better scent, they are too expensive. Others aren't really "melting" and require a lot of product. This Drunk Elephant cleanser, however, really hit the mark for me. I appreciate that I can use the product to remove both face and eye makeup, and I like the option to do more of an exfoliation a few times week with the product. The biggest win for me, though, is the fact that the product really does melt - no little clumps of product on my hands/fingers/face. While I wish the scent was a little more pleasant, the fact that the price point is reasonable and the product actually works without drying out my skin means I have found another Drunk Elephant winner.

I love this face wash so much that I buy it for my friends. First off, the little magnetized scoop is just adorable. The real important take away here is that this creamy, almost waxy wash does a lot with just a little. Take a small scoop from the jar, and as soon as it meets water, the texture converts from a wax to a cream. There is an optional exfoliant composed of super-fine scrubbing agents to remove dead skin cells. I love that it's optional because you can adjust how often you exfoliate based on your own skin-type and season. Just a little goes a long way and removes foundation, primer, and water resistant mascara without that funky, under eye "raccoon" residual that's left by most cleaners. I've been buying this wash for the last six months and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Unscented means no added scents, but it does have a smell. It smells sort of industrial. Works perfectly and leaves my skin so hydrated so not a big deal, but I'm used to a getting ready for bed ritual that includes all the things that make the experience lovely. Great value for the price considering competitors for a similar product are 2 and 3 times as much. I recommend this product. I have sensitive skin and it has not irritated me once, make-up comes off easily and leaves you with a very hydrated face and happy wallet.

This is a beautiful facial product. I love this item along with other products from this line.

I haven’t used anything else to remove my makeup since I’ve tried this. It’s easy on the skin and removes waterproof makeup. Ladies I recommend trying this product out and seeing for yourself.

Gorgeous product, smells very earthy and abit like a forest or bamboo. A small amount goes along way. Literally melts your make up away and leaves you skin feeling beautiful ❤️

je l ai reçu hier, la texture est délicieuse, l odeur étrange mais le produit est très efficace, enlevé tout le maquillage et et laisse la peau toute douce. sans gras. il faudra voir dans le temps mais je suis ravie.

Tolles Produkt der Luxusklasse. Das Auspacken macht schon Spaß. Das Richtige, wenn Frau sich etwas Besonderes gönnen möchte. Ansonsten finde ich es für den Alltag einfach zu teuer.
