VW wants $57 for this part. My local parts store wants $28. And neither had one in stock and were unsure if they could get one in the next three weeks. I ordered this on a Thursday, had it on Saturday, installed it in ten minutes (I had to take the tire off). The wear indicator light went out and I'm good to go. Prior to installation I asked the local VW dealer about resetting the indicator light, they said I'd have to come in and they would take care of that for me. A quick Google search said it would auto reset. Let's just say, Google is smarter than my VW dealer, it did auto reset. I'd trust Holstein for any future electrical component replacement. Thank You.

NOT the same functionality as VW OEM for 2014 Touareg TDI Exec. Only monitors one pad.
Despite the fact that Amazon Garage says this is a fit for my car, it is by no means identical in function. The OEM has two sensors, one for each pad in the caliper. This has only one sensor. It fits in the brake pad, but you must use it on the inside pad since the wire is not long enough to reach the outside pad. Luckily the inside pad seems to wear slightly more than the outside. Kind of a bummer to discover this after you have opened up the wheel.

Shorter than the OEM sensor !
These sensors are shorter than the OEM sensors in the VW. T he sensor is not a smooth fit. Needed to fiddle around to make it fit. For the price compared to what the OEM part costs, I would recommend them.

Easy install
For a 2012 Cayenne V6 base. Great price compare to Dealer. Break pad warning light turned off. Easy access with wheel off no need to mess with caliper.

They work, a bit long, though not as good as VW
They work. Though, plastics and rubber are a bit thin and of less quality than original equipment. They are also a bit longer.
