It definitely is jalapeño that is ground lol. I read the comments from previous customers and I thought I could handle the heat, but Lordy!!! This stuff is SPICY!! I put the tiniest amount on a salad. Right at that moment I knew I had to be SUPER careful when I use it. I absolutely love the flavor jalapeño brings to a dish, but not this much heat. I believe they grind the seeds and the hot inner membrane in this. So, keep this in mind when purchasing.

I make a quiche for my husband and use Badia Jalapeño Spice . He loves it.

Great seasoning to add to jerky or burgers. That’s all I’ve used it for so far. Adds nice flavor and a little extra heat.

Good flavor. Not too hot. Mild and very useful in recipes.

Thank goodness Amazon has this! So hard to find in grocery stores. Powdered jalapeño; fresh, easy, and tasty.

Excellent quality jalapeno powder. I switched to this a few years ago instead of the fresh peppers that spoil in the fridge. Excellent flavor with just the right taste, smell, heat and ease of use. I only peeled a small amount of the paper seal off. I opened up about 3 of the holes to avoid overusing and to decrease the poof when using. Don't inhale the poof of product when using. I like being able to measure the amount of product as I don't like food overly spicy.

Love this, you can adjust the level of flavor and heat by how much you sprinkle on. Jalapeño lovers this is definitely something you want to have in your spice rack
