My shocks on the LG washer broke when my wife let the washer go to long with the load unbalanced and it was wildly bouncing around and making noise and it broke one of the shocks and damaged another. I got these and installed them and it works fine. For my LG it was a little hard to install as my dryer stacked on top of the washer. I had to take the dryer down so that was extra work. Yiu need a decent amount of room to be able to replace these. Its a little hard to pry off the plastic bolts that attach the shock to the washer connections and extra room would have helped. But these are pretty cheap and saved me a ton of money by not having to call a service guy out.

My 2011 vintage LG WM3470 washer was making a clicking noise which traced to the rear shock absorber. I replaced all three and found that the originals,, esp. the rear one, were worn out. The new ones fit perfectly and and the machine is much quieter and the drum doesn't move around as much. For less than the price of a single OEM shock, I installed all three. As a note to other DIY'ers, only do one shock at a time and the drum will stay in place. Do an internet search for how to install. It's fairly easy and well worth the savings over a service call.

I slid my washer forward 18-24 inches and tilted the top back against the wall. From underneath it is open and you have access to all 3 shock absorbers. A 12mm closed end wrench (or maybe a 12mm long socket) placed on the pointy end of the pin will depress the pin's little locking latch so it can be pressed out. Pressing it out isn't easy, but channel pliers can give you good leverage, just make sure that little latch is depressed at first. Sorry I don't have pics, but if you tilt it up you will see the huge opening underneath.

I installed them and have used them for about 2 months. I've noticed my drum has been banging when spinning lately. I opened it up and noticed a cracked shock absorber (the back one). I am unable to check the side ones since I don't want to pull them out until my replacement comes. What a waste of time and money. You can see how thin the material is compared to the old/original one. DISAPPOINTED. Edit (3-3-2021): when I processed a return for this item with Amazon, I had to go in there and take them all out in order to get my refund. which turned out to be a good thing despite how much of a hassle it is to get the side ones because one of the side ones also broke into pieces. 2 of the 3 were broken rendering them totally useless within 2 months. did i mention that the severe imbalance of the drum due to broken shock absorbers cracked a piece of plastic in my drum when it impacted the back of the metal frame?

Some complain that these are less sturdy that the original parts, but after installing them and testing my washer I find them better. These do not have the 1/4"~1/2" of free play that the original shock absorbers had and provide a much better vibration dampening during the high speed spinning cycle. I was standing next to the washer during a test load with a few heavy items and could hear the humming from the spinning drum but did not bother me at all. Highly recommend these.

These shock absorbers turned my old washer into a young, smoothe spinner. The hard part of installation is removing the old shocks. Once the old shocks are removed, the new ones are easy to mount and they work great. A cheap fix for tired washers.

I'm giving this a 2 star because there is no issue with the shock absorbers. However, Do Not Use the white plastic fasteners that come with these. Just reuse the old ones. I replaced my old shock absorbers and everything worked fine for 2 cycles, then my wash machine started shaking. I had to take everything apart to get down to these shock absorbers and 5 of the 6 plastic fasteners had worked their way out of the holes. Unfortunately, I had already thrown away my old fasteners so I had to jam wooden dowel rods into the center of each fastener. This was the only way that I could ensure the catch stayed out far enough to catch in the holes and not work their way loose. I would try another set before buying these, but if you're stuck or can't find any other ones, make sure to use the old white fasteners, NOT THESE.

LG 3 shocks arrived in 2 days complete with bushings and pins. They are easy to install with a small hammer. Bad shocks increase running time and can damage the control board.

I read so many reviews and looked at so many listings. These were not the cheapest replacement parts. Some had luck with them, others did not. They have not made any improvement after installation. The noise and shaking of my machine is actually worse now. I am ordering another set of replacements for these, after only two months of use, because I'm worried that the shaking will cause damage to other parts of the machine. Try to find original LG parts elsewhere since the .ca site doesn't make it easy to find them. All of these copies look so much like the originals, it's easy to be fooled. One of the pins wasn't made correctly with a split in the plastic so it could be compressed, but one of the old pins was still in good shape and I reused it.
