I have been soldering with my $25 Weller for a long time and thought that worked pretty well....Wow! was I wrong. From the first time I turned this on I was impressed. The speed it heats up, the accuracy of the temp, and how well it holds that temp! Soldering just got a lot more enjoyable and easier. Seems well built and there are upgrades from the manufacturer. The main unit is much smaller than I imagined in person. I would fully recommend this to anyone that is going to solder more than once. I would also go so far as to say it is portable as well

I ended up purchasing this soldering station after careful consideration since I'm new to electronics building and repair. My plug-in soldering iron was making things difficult so it was time for an upgrade. I spent quite a bit of time watching YouTube videos on soldering stations. I came across this station and found a video that went in-depth on the build quality of this and features that should be a part of every station. Its build quality coupled with its price point made the decision to purchase this easy. I'm not disappointed either. I've soldered several headers on Raspberry Pies with this and done a few repairs. So far the items I've saved by repairing them have made this unit pay for its self several times over. There are a few things to point out though. This station is feature-rich. There are a lot of options on it that the printed directions don't cover. It takes some time to get accustomed to all the settings and how to adjust them. After the learning curve, I now appreciate all the options and simplistic control knob. I haven't found how to change it from Celsius to Fahrenheit. I'm not sure if you can. I'm comfortable with using Celsius and can relate it to its approximate value in Fahrenheit. So this isn't a detractor for me. This doesn't come with a power cable. You'll need to purchase one if you don't have one laying about. Most people have a few tucked away from old laptops, PCs, or TVs they've since thrown out. As long as this thing lasts me for a few years I'll purchase another one of it craps out and I can't repair it.

Review for "KSGER T12 Soldering Station STM32 V2.1S" Displaced from the office I have had to set up a home bench to do rework and such. I have a JBC at the office but not at home. The good! The KSGER works fine as a JBC replacement. It comes with several tips, it holds heat well, it is a dream to use. The meh. You will need to a soldering iron stand and preferably one that is not steel so that when you bang the tip into the stand, and you will, it will not damage the plating on the tip. I am still looking for one that will fit well. The bad. It did not work out of the box there were lots of errors and intermittent heating. The tolerances on the plastic handle is not great and the heater was not making good contact. Rather than return it, I did some slight modification to the inner handle plastic frame and now it works fine. This is why only 4 out of 5 starts.

I like the fact that the temperature to the iron can be controlled, based upon the type of solder being used. The only thing that was not included was a soldering iron stand for the iron, when it is not needed. I found a stand on-line that is not exactly designed for the system, but it serves the purpose. It would have been nice if a stand had been included with the system, specifically designed for it, even if the cost was slightly more to cover the cost of a stand. I'm very satisfied with the KSGER T12 Soldering Station.

I spend most of my life working on extremely small prototype electronics under a microscope. Obtaining a soldering iron with adequate heating power delivered to a tip that is small enough (~0.2-0.4mm) has been a real challenge. I noticed a good review and decided to give the KSGER T12 a try. I was completely amazed when the iron turned out to be the best I have worked with in at least 20 years. EVERYTHING is programmable with this version of the software ( v2.1s -- might be very important), and unlike many other low cost iron kits, this one came with very usable, very solid assortment tips. Using some tip cleaning paste (like FS100 by Hakko) I can reliably and repeatably solder pads that were previously too just too small to tin with a hand tool. I was loving my T12, then the display stopped working. At first toggling the power off and on again made the display work, but now it is just dead. Crazily, the iron still heats up and remains usable. Took an hour of wrangling with Amazon customer service before I was able to get a refund. I'm so disappointed, it is such a cool product but apparently of poor quality. Sigh...

Changing from a regular soldering station to T12/T15-based one was comparable to switching from an unregulated soldering iron to a soldering station. I am super happy how nicely the tip is getting hot and staying hot. I don't have to get my soldering iron hotter than it really needs to be when soldering even the thicker wires.

Small, compact. Heats quickly. Love the quick change tips! (many available) Easy on the wallet! You can blow up several of these for the price of a Hakko.
