Best I've seen/tried for the price.
I've tried a few of these momentary pedals, including Boss FS-5U (switchable), Hosa FSC-502 (normally open/off) and Roland DP-2 (normally closed/on). The Boss is the best, but it's also the most expensive, and doesn't come with a built-in cable. This pedal is designed a little differently than the Boss pedal, but it shares a feature with the Boss pedal that the Hosa and Roland pedals don't: an external switch that allows you to go from "normally open/off" mode to "normally closed/on," so this single pedal will work with pretty much any piece of equipment/feature that requires a momentary pedal. It's quiet; the construction is very heavy duty ... steel bottom and top, with thick rubber non-skid material on both; it comes with a built-in cable, all at about half the cost of the Boss pedal. At this price, nothing else I've tried even comes close. Very pleased. [After reading a few older reviews, I came across one that explained the remarkable cost difference between this pedal and the Boss FS-5U ... the "guts" of this switch are FAR more rudimentary and prone to glitch/failure than the Boss design (M-Audio switch is activated by two bare internal wires being pushed into contact when you press the pedal). The Boss switch relies on a more sophisticated mini-button momentary switch mounted on an internal circuit board, so I still favor the Boss switch in terms of quality/reliability, but this one DID consistently work for my application, right out of the box. Buyers should also note that the manufacturer seems to have responded to older complaints about the rubber pads coming off/loose by changing to pads with little spikes on their bottoms that stick through corresponding holes in the metal case, to hold the pads more permanently/securely in place. So, still a great value, as long as you're aware of its limitations/potential shortcomings, and the more rudimentary design works for your application. My five star rating still stands.]

Reliable, Responsive Pedal for Any Keyboard
This sustain pedal is responsive, well-built, and compatible with most keyboards. The rubber grip base keeps it stable during play. An excellent choice for both beginners and pros.

Watch out for right ports
I’m sure it probably works well; but it did not work for my keyboard. I called myself checking to make sure it would work; but I missed something somewhere along the lines. So, just be super careful when ordering that you have got the right ports.

Love it, works great just tested it this sunday in church
I Play for more than 20 years, and I've seen people use pedals but never had I used one before. Recently I decided I needed one to advance my playing. I bought this because of the simplicity and the sturdy build.I tested it at home on my Casio and it worked fine. When I first used it on the Roland XP-60 in church, I found that when I didn't pushed it the sound sustained and when I pushed it the sound didn't sustain. I started to get worried and then I remembered a friend of mine who encountered the same problem with a borrowed pedal and he called me up for a solution , but at that time I didn't knopw any better. But than a light turned on in my head, I picked up the pedal and turned it around to find a small switch on the backside. I popped it to the other side and yep it worked like it's supposed to. Now I was truly satisfied with my purchase and ready to play like I wanted. Now I only need to practice (because this is my first time in 20 years that I use one)

Great sustain pedal.
Plug and play. Bottom of pedal has rubber pad to prevent sliding away from you. Great product.

Metal. Sturdy. Won't slide around.
I opt for low profile pedals because the piano like ones end up being squeaky over time. This pedal is nicer than the cheap plastic one that come with some keyboards. The weight of the metal build keeps it from sliding around. Would recommend.

Works for Specific Application On Mustang LT25
I used this as the effect switching pedal on a Mustang LT25. Since this is a sustain pedal the amp changes presets only when the pedal is actively being pressed and changes BACK when the pedal is released. For me that is a win since i do not play with a lot of changing effects, i typically use it to added delay and reverb to an accent part or solo.

M-Audio SP1- a great alternative to Yamaha FC5 pedal
Great pedal with metal construction, Virtually identical to a Yamaha FC5 foot switch, half the price and does the same job, just slightly more resistance to depress than the Yamaha if I remember. Sticks to a laminate floor well. Works flawlessly with my PSR - SX700 keyboard.

Simple, durable, functional.
Very simple and very durable. Gets quite the stompin from me. Easy to setup as 1- plug it in, 2- use it. I use it with Ableton Live and Ableton Push 2. Medium firm on the push, snaps back quickly. Doesn't move aorund on the ground when you're working it. Not much else to say besides bravo for making a good product and I look forward to using it for years to come.

What a solid built !
Finally M-audio decided to ditch those light weight, turdy sustain pedals ! Thanks God. This time, it's Build Solid and heavy. Won't float around between your feet. The only bummer is, It's Made in China 💩
