If you don't love this coffee, there's something wrong with you. (Kidding. Seriously...) Read on, really you won't believe this
This is an all-around incredible product: my new FAVORITE coffee. First, the taste is just awesome. VERY, very good tasting whether I make it at it's default setting of 8 oz. or taking it up to a 12 oz. cup. It works in my Keurig 2.0 machine ONLY BECAUSE the box I chose includes a clip that will override Keurig's proprietary "you can only use OUR exclusive, authorized Keurig K-Cup" K-Cup restrictive barrier. I had to take the reservoir off to see exactly how to insert the clip BUT it was all very painless and relatively fast and easy to do. The company included instructions for how to do this. Now I can use my 2.0 machine for any K-Cups on the market. (as I write in May of 2015, Keurig by the way, due to plummeting sales had caved in any way and decided to offer refillable cups again soon as it was, so these folks are ahead of them.) Reading the other reviews i've decided I want to try other SF Bay coffees. Not only is the price very friendly, this is a company who cares about all kinds of factors. The plastic cups that are otherwise the industry standard, there are rumors that the plastic in general that the coffee sits in and the hot water passes through is bad for your health. SF Bay has addressed the problem by using eco-friendly biodegradable materials in which the coffee sits in; SO it doesn't really LOOK like a K-Cup, BUT it is. Even the plastic looking rim isn't plastic; it's instead some kind of vegetable based, also biodegradable material. This resolves many issues. I am serious when I say this is the BEST coffee I've ever tasted. Great price, your best bet is to subscribe that sweetens the price even more because it reduced my final cost per box of 80 cups, which come in a few separate plastic, also biodegradable bags along w/ a plastic conainer and lid to keep the basically exposed unused cups fresh. If you have a 2.0 machine, make sure you order a box that includes the easy to install, once you take a good "look under the hood" so to speak - clip. I'm amazed really. There were so many good things to address about this coffee and I like it so much and encourage others to participate in both the quality of this coffee and care for thye environment and consumer that I hope I covered everything SF Bay really deserves high accolades all the way around for this product. For the record, I am in no way affilated with this company, just extremely impressed with the whole shebang they have to offer. If I actually open a small eatery here in Vegas THIS coffee WILL be featured. I'll pass on the savings, it'll be good for business. WFN Las Vegas, NV USA

Full, bold coffee without the guilt of all that plastic
First of all, I'll say that I'm no coffee snob. I like coffee, but I'm not one to nitpick over what roast is my favorite or what coffee company makes a better bean. I just know I don't like weak coffee or even weak tasting coffee. I've had "bold" coffees that tasted very "meh" and have learned to not just base my purchases on the type. I was a bit leery of this initially since "Fog Chaser" to me sounded like a gimmicky name for a Breakfast Blend. And the last Breakfast Blend I had left me wanting. But as I was perusing Amazon one day (OK, every day) and was looking for more K-cups, I saw SF Bay continually show up on my Recommended list. So I ordered a box. Then a few weeks later, I ordered another box. A few weeks after that, I ordered another box. Suffice it to say, I've ordered more of this coffee than I have any other in the 3+ years I've owned a Keurig. Granted, part of that is because my partner is a coffee fanatic and since we've consolidated Keurigs, he drinks this like crazy. And he really likes it. (He made the mistake of buying an 80-count box of the Colombian blend from Green Mountain and hated it - I wound up having to take it to work to go through it there over a 1-2 month period, begrudgingly so.) It's got a nice flavor, a wonderful aroma and isn't too smoky like some of the stuff from Coffee People (namely "Jet Fuel" or "Black Tiger".) But it's definitely got more punch than any of the stuff from Green Mountain. Plus, while the cups aren't the same shape as the Keurig K-cups (they lack the plastic cup and just use a filter), it's less plastic to use. Yes, it is a bit annoying to have to place the cups in a sealed container, but they give you one to use and within this large box of cups, there are several smaller bags inside. My little K-cup carousel isn't nearly as stocked as it once was, only containing non-coffee varieties, or some of the cups from the variety pack we received for Christmas. It's a great cup with a great price and great Earth-friendly components. What's not to like?

Great Cup Of Joe!
I am a rather late comer to the K-cup world. I have always loved my the flavorful and bold 'one cup at a time' coffee faithfully brewed by my cherished Gaggia 90501 Titanium SS Super Automatic Espresso and Cappuccino Machine, Stainless Steel . After six years of faithful service my Gaggia developed an issue requiring it to be sent off for repair, so I purchased a Breville BKC700XL Gourmet Single-Serve Coffeemaker with Iced-Beverage Function . The Breville is intended to be an interim coffee maker while my beloved Italian Gaggia is sent off for repairs (a 3 month endeavor). I don't think of myself as a coffee snob, but I will admit to being particular about the coffee I drink. I was now faced with the challenge of finding some of my favorite coffees in the new to me K-Cup containers. As I came to the realization that my old favorite beans were not readily available in this medium I turned to Amazon buyer ratings as my guide in this java quest. I placed orders for both Emeril's Big Easy Bold 48 K-Cups and San Francisco Bay Coffee One Cup for Keurig K-Cup Brewers, Breakfast Blend, 80-Count as a starting point. The SFB Breakfast Blend arrived first. I read all about the Rogers SF Bay family coffee business philosophy and their social give back and thought it was pretty cool. I then looked at their K-cups (OneCups) and thought to myself, "is that how these things are supposed to look?" Their OneCups take a more Eco-friendly construction approach so that you see a rounded filter bottom rather than the standard shaped plastic cup bottom. It all seemed interesting, but how would it taste? I thought the Breakfast Blend was really a lovely cup of coffee. The smooth medium-dark roast Central and South American beans are very tasty indeed! I would venture to say that it is on par with any of the very best medium-dark roast coffees available. I would never turn my nose up at it, that is certain. However my personal pallet preference is for something a bit more dark and bold. Three days later I received the Emeril's Big Easy Bold order and immediately tried it. It certainly delivered on all aspects of a robust dark roast with full flavor. It is a bold, dark, classic Parisian roast, in your face brew, just the way I like it. However I find it to have an ever so slight unpleasant aftertaste and a not too far away from, but not quite there bitter finish. Again this is just according to my palette, you may not think so. All in all it is a very good coffee. The SFB Fog Chaser arrived and I couldn't wait to try it out. I cut the seal on bag and was hit with the scent of a strong dark roast. I placed the now familiar OneCup container in the machine and hit brew. Immediately the aromas hit my nose and let me know that I was in for a treat. Fog Chaser is a strong full bodied French Roast with an extremely smooth finish. It is certainly bolder than Breakfast Blend, but is not as bold as Emeril's Big Easy Bold. The taste is full, smooth and well rounded without any unpleasant bitterness or aftertaste at all. I wouldn't have minded if the yield had been slightly stronger though. My next order will be San Francisco Bay Coffee One Cup for Keurig K-Cup Brewers, French Roast, 36-Count to see how it compares to these three. Until that time, I give SFB Fog Chaser two big thumbs up!! It is currently at the top of my K-cup coffee taste experience.

Work well in my Keurig, SF Bay Fog Chaser has a smooth and bold flavor that chases the fog away in the mornings!
This is a decent medium to dark roast coffee, and the design of the cup is better for the environment. The flavor of the Fog Chaser coffee is pretty great. I had used San Francisco Bay coffee beans in the Organic Rainforest Blend earlier so I was familiar with their company, and really liked the flavor of that coffee. The Fog Chaser is good too but I think I preferred the ORB a little more. I had seen this package in my discount warehouse several times but hesitated due to the unique cup design as I wasn't sure it would work in my Keurig. Reviews on Amazon assured me it would work, so I bought it from Amazon as it was priced just a little more than the warehouse. And it does work. Since the one-cups don't have plastic on the underside they come in smaller bags in the large carton to keep them fresh. I open one bag at a time and since my KCup dispenser is a closed drawer pull system I just store them in there, and it lasts us about a week. The grounds in the cup are no different than any K-Cup, and I haven't had a seal break on me yet. Some reviewers insert these one cups into the refill systems to make it a smoother and lighter coffee and that works too, although I just prefer using them directly for a bolder flavor. The price of these One Cups is very reasonable, possibly due to use of less plastic. That's what I call a win-win, good for the consumer and better for the environment. I saw a note on the boxes in the warehouse saying they don't work with Keurig 2.0 systems, so please take note if you have the newer machine.

San Francisco Bay coffee will make you happy
The Basics: I never thought I'd be raving about a K-cup coffee but this is really great stuff! San Francisco Bay coffee OneCups are fantastic all around because the coffee is amazing. It tastes and smells delicious and STRONG, provides enough caffeine to wake you up but not so much that it'll induce any seizures, and the OneCup pod design and product packaging are as eco-friendly as possible. Every kind I've tried has impressed me, and I'm a snob. Epic Coffee Nerd-fest: While managing a great coffeehouse for years, great coffee became a vital part of my being and gave me a superpower: I am now a coffee snob of the highest order. Therefore I feel duty bound to spread the news about great kinds of coffee whenever I encounter them. Nobody deserves to be traumatized by sub-par java. Fear not! San Francisco Bay coffee will keep your palate very, VERY happy, lovingly caffeinating you along the way. It's consistently top notch: flavorful, smooth, complex, and never bitter. You can make this coffee very strong too, and I mean in general, not just strong for a K-cup. Also, I'm not ashamed to admit that whenever I open a new bag, I put it up to my nose and breathe in the heavenly aroma until my eyes start rolling back in my head. San Francisco Bay OneCup, Fog Chaser, 80 Single Serve Coffees and San Francisco Bay OneCup, Organic Rainforest Blend, 80 Single Serve Coffees are my favorites. Here's how I describe them, with coffee jargon translated into regular normal-person English: - Fog Chaser is a medium-dark roast. It has a lovely full body and smoothness. (As far as body goes, a very full-bodied coffee feels rich in your mouth, like cream. A medium-bodied coffee could be compared to regular milk, and light-bodied coffee has a mouth feel closer to skim. I hope that makes sense). The taste is earthy (like French roast but not as smokey), slightly sweet, and has just the right amount of brightness (that citrusy aspect that makes your mouth pucker a tiny bit in a good way). There are subtle undertones of deep dark chocolate. The coffee's richness and complexity make it delicious black. It'll also complement nicely any cream and/or sugar you care to add. - Organic Rainforest Blend is a nice medium roast, smooth with a medium-full body (see above for my explanation of what body means). The company's website describes the taste as having "lively acidic notes." I think that's exactly right. This coffee is bright, i.e. it has the tang of pleasingly tart citrus fruit, plus a little nutty sweetness. It's earthy too; think smooth, bold, and dark but not overwhelming. Rather, it balances the brightness and adds to the overall complexity and deliciousness. This is great by itself and with cream/sugar, especially raw sugar. **Though I use words like "citrus," "sweet," "nutty," etc, to describe these coffees, I don't mean to imply that they have any added flavors. They don't. **To teach yourself how to identify tasty individual notes, just drink lots and lots of high quality java...slowly. Hold each sip in your mouth for a moment and savor it. Keep trying to figure out what you taste in addition to the coffee itself. When in doubt, drink more coffee. It's science. I hope this is helpful and amusing!

Smooth, strong and now works with Keurig 2.0 machines if you use the included chip
Rogers Coffee Company, who makes San Francisco Bay coffees, is currently including their Freedom Clip FREE inside every box of their K-cups! This Freedom Clip allows you to use these K-cups in Keurig 2.0 machines because it overrides the DRM lockout that forces you to use only Keurig brand K-cups. I don't have a Keurig 2.0 machine yet as my older Keurig is still working fine. However, it's several years old so I've set these clips aside for a time when I must replace my current machine. What a class act to include the Freedom Chip in every box. That's great customer service! I buy several flavors by the San Francisco Bay Coffee Company because I like the minimal waste design, the coffees are excellent and they are less expensive than most brands. I drink coffee all day and my daily coffee is their Donut Shop Blend but I love a cup of Fog Chaser in the morning. Fog Chaser is a strong coffee but it's smooth with no bitterness. Perfect to wake me up in the morning. It's still strong and full-bodied even at the 12oz. setting. Regular Starbucks fans may not be thrilled because it doesn't have that dark roast bite but for me, it's perfect. The design of the cup is unique. It has a plastic ring with a foil cover on the top, just like an ordinary K-cup, but the plastic cup at the bottom is missing. Instead, there is just the soft filter pouch with the coffee inside at the bottom. It works just as the conventional K-cups do, but they take up a lot less space to store and there is less plastic for the landfill. They come in a sealed, clear plastic bag so you will need to put these K-cups in an airtight container when you open the bag to preserve the freshness. You won't want to store them in one of those K-cup carousels or counter top drawer units. A gallon sized zip lock bag, large Tupperware container or airtight canister work well for this. There are unfortunately a lot of really awful coffee K-cups - some that even contain instant coffee - but this one is stellar! And now, even Keurig 2.0 owners can enjoy these excellent k-cups.
