What Katie Did Glamour Shape Wear Black Merry Widow Basque L3009

Every What Katie Did piece is on my "I need to have that" list. I finally splurged one night and purchased this, and am so happy that I did! So far I have only worn it once, so I can't say how it lasts over time (I will update sometime after I have put it through some rigorous use) but when I put it on there was definitely a "damn, I look good in this" that came out of my mouth.Maybe with some practice I can do it myself, but you might need help putting it on. It is VERY slimming, which means it's very tight (but not in a bad way), and putting it on backwards and then turning it around takes like 10 minutes (that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it really does take some effort). I had my husband help me put it on the next time and it still took a little bit, but not as long as putting it on backwards. I am pretty much a true 36C and the fit of this is perfect.You can just see and feel the quality of this basque. Metal adjustable garter clasps (I would expect no less on a piece that costs this much, but there are pieces out there that are pricier and have crappy plastic garters clasps), spiral steel boning, and the powermesh truly is slimming, it's all great. I will say that sitting down in this can be a little challenging and not so comfortable in the armpit area. Maybe after I've broken it in a little it will be better. I will be sure to include that in my update.I am looking forward to doing a photoshoot with this basque. It's a fabulous vintage reproduction and something that I am very happy to have in my lingerie collection.
