Easy to Wrap
My puppy thought chewing the flex tubing off my Casita & Big Tex trailers would be a good idea, even after wrapping in friction tape. Given my plan is to retire & travel to some austere locations, I figured this would be a good start to fighting both puppy & rodent chewing. I know this mesh seems expensive, but I also imagine replacing wiring harnesses would be far more expensive & time consuming. Since this mesh doesn't have any adhesive to it, I used friction tape to start the roll & at the end of the wrap, which was very easy to install & cut with a pair of sizzors. I also wrapped Honda Rodent Tape over it as an extra added layer of protection. This product is a 15' roll. The Honda tape will cost ~$50 a roll, but you will also have 65' to work with. I like to do projects ONCE, so I recommend this product as simple protection for your wiring. Now to see what the dog does with it.

Does a great job
After having a critter chew the wires in my vehicle's wheel twice, the second time I got this to put over the new wiring harness. It is metal mesh rolled like tape. You just wrap it around the wire. I wasn't going to play with the critters anymore so I also got tape with embedded hot pepper and wrapped it around this wire mesh tape. So far, so good. Fingers are crossed. I like this though. Definitely worth it.

Works to keep rats from chewing your car's wiring harnesses
A month ago I had my mechanic wrap my new wiring harnesses (rats had chewed through both so he had to replace them for $1,600) with 3M Scotch Electrical Shielding Tape 15 ft Tinned Copper, Open-weave, Shielding Braid Tape and then cover that copper tape with what Honda literally calls its Rat Tape (it has 5-alarm-chili powder in it that rats hate). Honda wanted $89 to ship one roll of its rat tape; it was $50 here on Amazon. For the past month, the rat tape and copper wire tape have been successfully protecting my car against further rat chewing! Now I can see why people have class action lawsuits going against several automotive manufacturers right now for making wiring and other car components out of edible food stuffs like soy so it's "ecologically friendly" (in cars 2000 and newer). This just lures rodents into chowing down on your car, and is a big disaster that needs to end ASAP. If you have rat problems under your car hood, also do get Victor Peppermint spray (w/cinnamon/citronella/vinegar): 32 oz is $15 and it's been fending off the rats for a month now too, with light weekly touchups. Ask your mechanic where to spray it and where not, and spray the front wheel wells too (but not your wheels so they don't get slippery)-- rats jump from your front wheels and go right under the hood. At the same time as the Victor spray, I got and am also using a Loraffe Rodent Repellent Ultrasonic Under Hood Rat Repeller (Battery Powered). It's been a month and not a sign of rats; it sucks having assigned apt complex parking when you're stuck next to the dumpster!

Hope it works
I purchased 2 rolls to cover my Chevy Volt charging cable to prevent rodent damage. Hope it works… time will tell. It’s easy to apply. No adhesive is better for my use because I was able to re-wrap as needed.

Wrapped my cars wire harness in this
Squirrels chewed through my cars wire harness twice to I wrapped the repairs in this, and then Honda Rodent Tape. Hopefully it works.

Very Flexible
This metal tape is very flexible and easy to use. It may be a little too flexible to actually deter rodents from chewing through it. I was hoping for a more substantial metal tape to prevent the field mice from chewing through plastic fuel line connections and wiring on my truck which stays parked for several days at a time. This tape was used in two or more layers and covered with Honda Anti Rodent Tape which is even more ridiculously priced than this over priced metal tape.

Not exactly tape. Not sticky. More like a ribbon or wrap. Still worked for my purposes.
