This doll is very realistic! I was looking for other dolls but none of caught my eye, this one did though I love her smile on her face. I love how you can dress her in a onesie. She is very cute I got this for my daughter and she loves it and I do too. I got different socks, shirt and onesie I love the outfits though! I noticed the limbs of the doll are very stiff. Great value for money! My daughter is very happy with it. I’m happy with the quality of the doll. The dolls skin is very soft. She has a bit of weight to her like a newborn! I love how much detail she has! I’m very happy with the purchase! If your looking for a well made baby doll I recommend this one!

UPDATED 9/1/16: I see from many of the reviews that there no longer seems to be an issue with the scent, and the product description specifically mentions unscented. So, I don't think this is an issue any longer. We are a family of six children, ages 9 years down to a baby. My daughters love baby dolls, and they take care of them just like a real baby, with the experience to know exactly what that should be like! When I first saw this doll, I was sure it would be adored as it's modeled to look like a real newborn. So, when my 5-year-old needed a new doll for Christmas, as her old one was falling apart, this is what I bought. This is definitely a very realistic, newborn-like baby doll. It's on a slightly smaller scale, 14" curled up, but the doll is properly proportioned. There are all the appropriate creases and folds, the backbone visible, etc, but the relatively standard non-gender specific features. The posture is that of a newborn baby, curled up. This is a huge plus for my daughters (the 7 yo and 3 1/2 yo like to play with it too). However, it does differ in some ways from many babydolls. The legs, as mentioned, are curled up like a newborns, and they are not moveable. This doll stays curled up like a baby and can not be stood up to pretend it's an older child or grown-up. Also, the eyes are permanently open; there are no lids. The big negative for me is that the doll has been perfumed, presumably to smell like a newborn baby. I never use baby powder or scented stuff on my babies, so my babies don't smell perfumed. But even the perfumed babies I've smelled have had a much milder smell than this. When I opened the box, I could immediately smell the scent. I've since washed the baby doll several times with soap and water, as well as handwashing the clothes, and the smell is still there. It's possible it will wear off some with future use, but the doll has been played with for a week, and I can still tell when the baby comes near. The smell might be less bothersome to someone else, as I tend to avoid scented items, but still it is very noticeable. My daughters aren't bothered by the smell, but they can't bring it near me, because it does bother me. NOTE: After almost 1 year of use, the smell has not faded one bit.) The clothes that came with this doll seem durable enough, though there is a caution to only handwash the diaper and not to wring it dry. Additional clothes for this doll don't seem to be easy to find. It will not fit in standard 14" doll clothes because of being thicker around the torso and curled up. We bought size preemie sleepers, and they're slightly big, but no bigger than a newborn's clothes often are on him/her. Still, on the whole, I like this baby doll. It's a nice realistic-looking newborn, which is perfect in my family where the children are very used to having baby siblings. It's very educational and lends itself well to pretending to be a mother/father. My main caution is about the fact that the doll is strongly scented, and I would caution against buying it if anyone in your household is sensitive to scents and perfumes.

My 7-year old daughter was ecstatic when this package arrived in the mail! It came very fast (3 days?), even though we selected the standard free shipping. It was listed as "previously owned, like new," but it was all intact in its original package, and it WAS indeed all like new! The cardboard box was a little battered but that got tossed aside immediately anyway. Unfortunately the baby doesn't sit well in the new toy stroller we just got, but it would probably work fine in a slightly larger one (t our stroller is smaller... more for a 1 or 2 year old). I think this doll might be a better fit for a child older than 2 1/2 to 3 years old because of its size and weight. My daughter really wanted a doll set that included a pacifier and a diaper, so this is great. She immediately gave it a bath that day after seeing a little girl bathing the doll in a photo on the side of the box. My dau explained all about how she was using lotion and powder, and also the wash cloth that was included. I showed her how to properly swaddle and burp the baby, and we used the wash cloth as a burp towel. This doll set is a great gift set with plenty of accessories to thrill any little aspiring mommy (or daddy), and the baby is very cheerful looking, too, which is not always easy to find in realistic newborn baby dolls. That was one of the reasons I chose it. Now the legs, arms, and head do not move on this doll, so changing the clothes is a little more difficult, but I didn't hear any complaints. This is also why it doesn't "sit" well in the stroller. Also, it is an anatomically gender-neutral doll.

This doll is a fantastic buy. If you're looking for a waterproof doll, this is the one. I'll expand on this review when I have more time, but I just wanted to let potential buyers know that after an extensive search, I am very pleased with the quality of this doll. The tub and the accessories make it an even better value. Expanded Review I am by no means an expert on dolls, but after raising sons, I find buying dolls for the granddaughters a lot of fun. This waterproof doll is weighted so she feels more like a real baby than a lightweight plastic doll does. She reminds me of a reborn doll without the extended navel and more anatomical detail. Her expression is very lifelike, as are the positions of her hands and feet. Frankly, I'm amazed to get the doll, her onesie, her velcro cloth diaper, her bathtub, plus the pretend lotion, bottle, pacifier, and bathing cloth for $23.00. Btw, the pacifier and the bottle do fit in the doll's mouth, though it does take a bit of pushing. After her first bath, I checked to see how much water seeped into her crevices--not much. If necessary, I think her head could be removed so she could drain out. The lotion bottle is of a piece, so while it looks like it has a lid, it's only painted on. This caused my four year old granddaughter some consternation until I explained it was pretend. The bottle can be filled with water. All said, I cannot remember being so pleased with purchasing a doll.
