This is a great waterproofing material. I was making my own shower stall. Hydro ban working great very happy with this product. The application went well. Passed the water test with flying colors.

This is so far the best water proofing membrane I used. Really love it. Very easy to install just need brush and roller. If you got your hands dirty just wash with the water very and I mean very easy to clean. Very nice coverage. I used three coats on the bathroom shower area with size 3x5 and it was enough for to bathrooms. Stick very well after drying, looks like you installed a rubber mat. And tile mortar grabs really hard. Great product again. Maybe cost more but worth every penny.

I'm building a 3x4x8 shower in my basement. I used the Laticrete pre-formed tileable shower pan/curb (which are made of a dense foam), along with one of their wall inserts. This stuff goes on great. Simply put in a paint pan. Use a brush for the corner areas then use a roller for the rest. Goes on like a thick paint. You don't even have to stir it! Super easy to apply. I used a little over 1 gallon to do my shower. It does need two, decently thick coats. I did not need to paint the floor/curb/wall insert as they already come pre-coated in this stuff, but did a coat on the floor anyway to fix any nicks along the way. The first coat you can still see through in spots. The 2nd coat (which I did 2 hours later) really dried to a very uniform setup. For the cost and ease of use, I can't imagine using some of the other products out there. This works, just use it and be done!

I’ve been a General Contractor for over thirty years, and Hydroban is the best waterproofing membrane I’ve used. I’ve also used Redgard, Laticrete 9235, Aquadefense, and sheet membranes (Schluter/Kerdi) - and Hydroban beats them all for ease of installation and performance. I use reinforcing fabric at the shower pan, around the drain, in the corners, and at wallboard joints for peace of mind. Using the fabric increased dry times significantly, but I sleep well knowing the shower is bulletproof. Worth every penny - look no further.

The Laticrete was easy to apply. I got fast and professional customer support when I sent emails to Laticrete. There is one quirk with the product - it can only be on the wall for 30 days uncovered. You have to install the tiles within 30 days or the product oxidizes and will not hold. I did not know that. I had agreed to help my daughter move 1200 miles away and was gone for 3 weeks so I had to cover it with a thin coat of thiset so it would not oxidize.

It does what it is intended to do and that is to keep the water away. When you open it, it looks like green pudding. Just use a paint brush and paint away. One can never do too much to prevent water leaks. I used one gallon around the tub/shower enclosure's 3 walls. I did 2 coating on the three walls. This is also great for a shower nook that is being built from scratch. If you are going to redo your bathroom make sure you get some of these and paint on generously! An ounce of prevention will go a long way to save you money down the road. On my master bathroom remodeling project, I had one gallon left from the earlier project and insisted that the contractor use this before they start tiling.
