TFY Car Headrest Mount Holder for Sylvania SDVD9805 Portable DVD Player (Also fit All 7 inch - 10 inch Swivel Screen Portable DVD Player)

Primarily used on a 2011 Acadia with no issues and fit was nearly perfect. The only exception was the width of the elastic band was a bit wider especially around the metal headrest posts used to adjust height but it did not interfere with the use of these DVD mount holders. I used these mounts with a pair of Sylvania SDVD 9805-C, 9 inch portable DVD players. (As this specific portable DVD player has 2 different models, I can only comment on the SDVD9805-C). They worked flawlessly and although we didn't need to remove the actual players to insert DVDs (since I ripped all my kids favorite movies and cartoons onto several 32GB SD memory cards) my wife and I found the we could still, with relative ease and some manipulating, slide the DVD players in and out of the brackets without much trouble. If you plan on changing DVDs often then this mount might not be the ideal mount for you especially if your kids are young or not capable of doing it on their own. Our 5 and 3 yr were not capable or old enough to do this on their own which is why I ripped most of their favorite movies onto the memory cards and the players with SD cards stayed in their respective mounts for the majority of our 3000 mile road trip. The mounts are not really adjustable for viewing angles or tilt but found that sliding them higher up or down (allowing the main velcro area which hold the 2 bracket in place to be higher or lower) and merely playing around with a combination of headrest height resolved any issues. As a big safety concern, for those interested, which my neighbor pointed out (and I completely overlooked) was the safety of these mounts in case of a collision. While they do hold the DVD players in place I highly doubt they would truly secure them in place during an impact and prevent them from becoming a flying object. I myself wasn't too concerned but thought about also using the "mounting strap" provided by Sylvania with the DVD kit as another means of restraining and securing them while using the mounts but that proved too cumbersome in my experience. The brackets are slim, minimalistic and do not interfere with the buttons, screen or remote control sensor on the DVD player so this was a big plus for us! Since the bracket holds the player on top and from the bottom it definitely does not interfere with any of the wires such as power cord(s), AV In/Out, etc... Again the only MAJOR issue would be with changing a DVD since this model (Sylvania SDVD9805-C) requires you to load the actual DVD by flipping the screen up as in this makeshift diagram (/\ front or screen) [or see the product description for a representation]. I have bought 6 of these over the years and love them! They are very easy to install and work in all different shapes of vehicles. We also have multiple size tablets and DVD players in the cars, every one fits perfectly thanks to the movable Velcro clasps. I cannot recommend this highly enough!

We own a set of Sylvania car DVD players. We purchased them several years ago and break them out once a year when we go on vacation. The players come with a belt type fastener to secure them to the headrests. From day one, the stupid belts have been a pain. They would constantly come loose and before our last trip the buckles broke completely. I spent 2 hours the night before we left super gluing and cutting straps off of old high chairs to create a way to fasten our DVD players. I finally got something that worked about as well as the original straps. So when we were getting ready for our next trip I contemplated buying new DVD players all together just to avoid the trouble. As I was looking I stumbled across this gem. I’m so glad I ordered. It came with 2 in the pack and I installed them both in less than 5 minutes. The DVD player opens easily and they are completely secure against the headrest. No more meltdowns because someone’s DVD player fell again. Thank you so much for this product!

Yes! If you have the Sylvania portable DVD player, you need these. We were using the straps provided, and it messed up one of the players. We had to use a drawstring tied around the top of the player to keep it closed enough to play. I think the player being attached only from the back panel is why. So, we're going on a 20+ hour road trip with a 3.5y/o and a 1.5y/o so I was really looking for something better. These are exactly it!! They're incredibly easy to attach and remove (which is important for changing movies and/or stashing the players away when not in use) and it feels like a much better set up for the players than the straps. This comes with a setup for each of the players (so two), and that alone is the best deal you can find. The Velcro doesn't feel incredibly secure, but we won't be off-roading in our minivan so I can't see it being an issue. ***Update*** After driving from Virginia to Texas and back, I do have to say that I still like these mounts better than the stock straps, but these stil need some improvements. The bottom "hook" stays on great and we had zero problem with them, but the top one fell off repeatedly (taking the player with it). I know I joked about not going off-roading in our van, but even some bumps on the highway were enough to knock the player off. For some reason, the top "hook" just couldn't connect to the strap well enough to get a secure hold. I took a star off just for that because it's still a great product, it just didn't work quite perfectly.

These things are awesome they look so nice rather than with the straps that come with the DVD players which make the DVD players sag they aren't snug and secure the way these make them. I put my RCA 9 ' NON swivel DVD players in them and they work beautifully. ( in my photo it looks tilted down a little and it is so that my little one could see it better and so that there wasn't A glare. I also love that you can adjust the angle in which it lay in these as well. They were easy to install and arrived very fasts

These were a pain to get just right and they come loose. They have done their job for the most part though. The biggest issue is when you want to put a new disk in you have to take them out of the clips and they are a pain to get just right again.

I bought these looking for a more secure way to attach our DVD players that mount to the headrest. They are awesome!! The strap the players came with would come loose and was just a canvas strap that eventually would cut through the material. These holders are thin and stretchy they hold securely and took maybe 3min to install. They look great much cleaner appearance and no dangling straps. Highly recommend

These are horrible. They do not hold my portable DVD player. Atleast once every trip we make, the DVD player falls on my sons legs. He’s a year and a half old, so imagine how he feels. I’ve stopped using them because I don’t want him to get hurt. Had I known, I would not have wasted my time or money on these.
