First off you need to decide what you need one for. Picking up trash, limbs and debris outside? Then don’t buy this get a heavy duty one that costs $40 to $50. I am old and have a bad back so I use mine to pick up clothes, dog toys and dog food, and especially the left over pieces of sharp milk bones that hurt like hell to step on in the house. I also pick up threads and stuff I don’t want to get into the vacuum cleaner. This $14 one is not made for heavy lifting, or for putting glassware or heavy plates in the cabinet. You will need to spend at least $30 or more for one for that. This one is for light objects, no more than a pound and if you don’t try and lift heavy stuff it works great and lasts forever. I have been through a dozen of these over the years. I prefer the suction cups to the rubber coated finger kind. Pick stuff up much better. But for certain thing might be better, like getting a glass from an overhead cabinet. I have a heavy duty one from Lowes for picking up stuff outside, trash that anuses like to throw from their cars into my yard, and the cigarette butts my mail lady thtows by my mailbox EVERY day and pi cones and sticks ect. I bought this lightweight one 8 months ago for use in the house. The only issue I have had so far is one of the nuts that holds the suction cups came off and got lost. I emailed the company and they were ready and willing to send me a replacement one if I wanted. But I told them all I needed was a new suction cup nut so they sent me a new pair of suction cups and nuts so now I have extra if another falls off. These are good grabbers. If you are like me and read the negative feedbacks first to hear the truth, not all the fake five star ones at the top, then pay no attention to all the people griping and crying because they didn’t know the differences between them and just bought the cheapest, or bought one for light use when the needed a heavy duty one. Not the grabbers fault you cheaped out and didn’t buy what you needed. For picking up shoes, socks, underwear, light clothing, dog toys, spilled dog food and partially eaten treats, and small trash you don’t want to go up the vacuum then this is the one you need. Lastly, never buy the folding ones. It’s just another place to be a weak spot and to break too soon. Lightweight, but with enough grip for my top shelf items, it's a must for short people in the kitchen. No assembly required, very easy to handle with no problem getting those suckers around a jar or glass. I also use in my library for top shelf books, and they manage the weight. It locks items tight. Very inexpensive as you get two for what I would consider the price of one. They are a good value, and a useful little item to have around the house.

This is the most reliable grabber to use if you want to get glasses or mugs from high cabinets. It makes a tight grip around them.

I like it for lifetime warranty. I would love to give this a 5 but I can’t. I don’t feel it picks up a standard size glass up in the cabinet that feels safe. A little glass yes. I wouldn’t trust it but cmon folks this is amazing for just not having to bend over. I have compressed and broke vertebras in the thoracic region and NOT having to bend over is a extreme pain saver! Thank you for this! It is better than the plastic ones for sure- the handle could be a challenge for someone with bad arthritis. I have had carpal tunnel surgery both hands and the handle puts a strain on my hands trying to squeeze but I’m also looking at it as to help build strength. It does grab stuff off the floor and if you want it to last and not break the cable don’t try to pick anything heavy that will put pressure on it. I want it to last and I will be getting another one to go along with this one but not with the suction end but probably a magnet flat end. This is a good product for what it is-gripper. I have only had it a couple days /its getting a work out- but like I said I am not going to put pressure on it trying to do stuff other than things I feel it could handle safely for me and it. It is lighter than it looks.

I have a larger house and I may be a tad bit lazy. lol. I make sure to have these grabbers in every room I spend a great deal of time in. The grip is amazing and these little grabbers last! Very sturdy and not too expensive!

I use this for picking up pine cones and tree debris on our property. It works GREAT. I’m not bending over, I don’t cone petal stickers, I put my headphones on, and stroll through the yard once a week or so depending.

This is the best pickup tool I have ever seen. It is well made and is sturdy in construction, but still lightweight

Expensive but really cleverly designed grabber. The cups don't suck as such but are great for holding on to larger, heavier items and fiddly little bits as well. Really robust construction which feels as if it will last a long time. The tensioning mechanism for the grab is unlike any I've seen before using flexible spring steel strips working in opposition to hold items really firmly. Will easily pick up a hard back book or a full wine bottle for example transferringthe full hand grip strength.

My sciatica is at it again and I can't reach anything dropped on the floor. I find this tool very useful and I'm happy that I can reach the things I need whithout being a burden for my family. It's light, but sturdy enough to pick a bottle full of water. I can take care of myself and do things around the house.
