1001 Commonly Misspelled Words: What Your Spell Checker Won't Tell You

I have this book is on my desk and all times! I can't live without this book. I am not the greatest speller so this book is a great reference. My husband keeps one in his work truck to help him with writing out contracts and documents. It is a book of words, yet will show you how the word is mispelled and the correct spelling. Sometimes you look at a word and not sure it is correct. This book will show you many ways it has been seen, yet not the correct spelling so you can find it miscorrectly spelled and then will see the correct spelling. Sometimes only one letter off can make a difference. Glad to have found this word book.

Ok lets face it I am a 54 year old dyslexic, so I spell like crap! I can live with that. I find ways around my little problem. On Kindle this book is just a fancy list of words that I have to page through to get to a word! ( This will be an Archived Item ) All I wanted to do was type a word in and get the right spelling. Not dig through a long list of A to Z words to get to my word. You have to start at A to get to Y... Save your money and get a hand held word speller ( most under 25 bucks). You will be much happier. I already have a Franklin spelling ace that works great for me. I just wanted something for my kindle cause I take it where erve I go. I thought I could kill 2 birds with one stone. NO LUCK THERE!!! It just cost me $10.00 Go to a good office outlet store and get a hand held speller ( save the shipping) you will love it.... I hope this helps...

This book is an absolute must have for students as well as parents. It belongs on the shelf next to the dictionary and thesaurus . Keep in close to you so you won't be tempted to "fudge" the spelling. Inaccurate spelling leaves a bad impression. This is good, also, for senior citizens who may have difficulty remembering the spelling of some words. So glad I ordered it!!

I am really, really disappointed the book isn't separated into chapters by alphabet and there is no Table of Contents, especially considering this is an ebook. Makes for a lot of extra work to find a word when you aren't certain of the spelling.

I wish I had this book right now. I keep it at my desk. Never know when I might need it
