W.C. Redmon Deluxe Digital Small Animal and Aviary Scale with Perch, Golds & Yellows

Was looking for a good-priced scale for my cockatiel and most are close to $100 so I was super excited when I found this one. When I first got it, I was so eager that I tried to weigh him without using the stand and it was not easy at all and I couldn't get an accurate number because he wouldn't stay still. Once I constructed the triangular perch, he stepped onto it right away and stayed still until I got an accurate number. The perch was very easy to construct and didn't take much time at all. Also, I like that the perch is removable so you can use the scale to weigh other things like their food. Now I have been consistently weighing my bird every morning and night so I can keep better track of his health. I know this scale is accurate because I had just recently had him weighed at the vet and it was right around the same number. The only downsides to the scale are that first, it doesn't have a "zero" button so if you want to zero out the scale you have to turn it off and put the item you don't want to be weighed already on it before you turn it on. The other negative is that I can't seem to "turn it off" by pressing the on/off button. It only turns off on its own after you haven't used it in a while. Also, this is a personal preference, but the buttons are touch activated and arent actually buttons at all which is a little annoying. Although, I really don't mind these negatives because this scale is such good quality for the price that it is.

After a week's of waiting qe finally brought our new addition home! A high red pineapple green cheek conure!! Her color mutation isn't common at least where I reside and because of that there wasn't much knowledge of her particular mutation as far as whether or not they are smaller than a traditional GCC etc. Most GCC are about 60-85 grams full grown but the highest her weight would go was 58g. I purchased a jewelry scale so we could move items her weight after we brought her home to make sure she was thriving and nit losing any weight. BUT we couldn't get her to stand on it or any other scales because let's be honest to a bird something like that could be pretty scary. Weighing your feather babies is important so my husband and I started searching for a scale and I found this one and figured I would give it a try and the minute I put it together she had ZERO problems stepping up. It is as accurate as the scale they weigh her on at the vet and idk about anyone else but not only do i suck at putting things together but I get frustrated before I finish haha the stand is so easy to put together my 6yo son was able to do it. I highly recommend this scale for anyone with a feathery baby, or even baby birds that aren't used to being weighed, birds that maybe you just brought hone and don't quite trudt everything yet, and timid birds especially!

It’s an awesome little, perfect sized machine for my green cheek conure. The weight response is quick, steady and accurate. I do not use it for long periods. Kills batteries upon a couple of uses.

This scale works great for me. The perch was easy to assemble. I liked that the perch is not attached to the scale because it makes for easier storage that way. I found that the scale is very accurate when I compare my birds' weights at home with their weights at the vet. The scale is easy to use and has several different functions. It seems very well made. I haven't had any issues with it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality scale for their birds.

My vet has a very similar scale. I can now train my pigeons to stand on there for visits. The gram measurements are off a little bit but not enough to matter in our case. Overall a really nice and useful product to have for monitoring bird health.

We bought this for a pet parrot to follow his weight. Our avian vet says weight gain or loss, which you cannot see from just looking, is one of the best ways to detect possible illnesses. We took this scale to our next vet visit. He always weighs each bird when they visit with his expensive professional scale. We then weighed our bird using our Redmon scale and it was spot on. Less than one gram difference. Great scale for the price!

The scale is able to measure in grams in 1 point increments. I needed something like this to weigh my parrot on- verifying she isn’t losing weight. The scale works as intended. It’s small enough to tuck away, but it’s big enough for an umbrella cockatoo to stand on. The reason I didn’t give more stars is the wooden stand. It was extremely cheaply made, holes didn’t fit the sticks. I couldn’t get parrot to stand on it because of the unevenness when put together. If you need a scale this works. Do not buy it expecting the bird stand will work. That deducted points. I checked accuracy compared to vet scales. Spot on.

great product, used it while converting my budgie on to pellets. the perch is great, each dowel is a different size so it works with my budgies, cockatiel, green cheek conures and caique

This is a good product the size of the scale is ok for us and seems to work well.

Very nice quality and smooth design. Accurate scale, easy to use. Cockatiel liked it right away. The perch is a bonus.
