Low Vitamin D? You NEED This Book!
It's so hard to find knowledgeable sources of information on vitamin D. If you're deficient in it, as I am, it's frustrating that no one seems to take this seriously - except to suggest you need to 'bring your levels up'. This book will guide you through the entire process: why low levels impact your overall health and how to get your levels up to where they should be. It also details some of the many issues low vitamin D can have on your body. They help you navigate the confusing world of supplements so you can make sure what you're taking is a quality product with no fillers. Highly recommend this well written, thoughtful guide!

Increasing your Vitamin D3 the correct way
A very good read. Simply explains crucial Vitamin D3, many other supplements, and why they’re important to your health. Why it’s necessary to take “this” with “that”. Some supplements to be careful taking too much of(ex:Vit A) and when NOT to take certain meds together(ex: thyroid meds with supplements containing soy). I personally like having the written book for reference. I have made notes at the end of each chapter and along the borders. Thank you, Author Susan Rex Ryan, for putting your research in written form. I’ll be buying another book for my sister!

Preserving and Enhancing Health
Defend Your Life II, Susan Rex Ryan's third book, complements her first book on Vitamin D by providing extensive information on the importance of Vitamin D throughout our lifetime. People who have struggled with infertility and pregnancy complications will be interested in Vitamin D's implications. The author also makes connections between Alzheimer's Disease, a rapidly increasing concern, particularly for women, and Vitamin D deficiency. Ryan expands upon the power of Vitamin D in reducing asthmatic symptoms, reducing autism cases and symptoms, decreasing the number of autoimmune diseases, along with bone diseases, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases. Once again, Susan Rex Ryan has published important reading for anyone interested in preserving and enhancing their health. This book is highly recommended for reading and sharing with loved ones!

Meh
I didn’t find this too helpful. It is ok if you want all the basic information about vitamin D in one book, but it’s nothing I couldn’t find on Google. Also, all of the citations—save one—are from low impact factor journals, making much of the research mentioned less credible. Most of this book is fairly basic and I didn’t feel like I needed to read this to understand anything about vitamin D.

All the latest on Vitamin D in one handy book!
Defend Your Life II is a great follow up to Sue Ryan's first book. It has all the latest info on the benefits of Vitamin D. It's broken down by chapters outlining various diseases and how D can positively influence their outcomes. She also outlines a way to increase your own Vitamin D consumption in her Wellness Protocol. I really liked the "Concluding Thoughts" synopsis at the end of each chapter. A practical and interesting read all the way through.

Way too shallow. I returned it.
I believe in the value of vitamin D, I found the book per se to be very weak and shallow.

Another great informative read!
I purchased the first book ‘Defend your life’ a few year ago now and was amazed at the informative content. The latest instalment ‘Defend your life II’ was just as informative covering a host of topics relating to the benefits of vitamin D3 and it’s co-factors, it’s a great read and I’d recommend the book to anyone who wants to better their health. In the UK we are just starting to hear about how important getting the right amount of this precious vitamin is, my GP has recognised it and thanks to Susan and her knowledge my Vitamin D3 levels are as my GP says fantastic! Thanks Susan ❤️
