Great Content - Book was bent
I love the book, but it was bent when I received it. The bend goes throughout the entire book. Disappointing... I thought I was receiving a new book, but this one must have been used.

Could have a better execution
I like her other books better. I understand what she was trying to do, which is explain why some people need / respond to therapy with animals (namely horses)... but the execution was just off. The title might make someone think itโs about rumors / figurative language if they didnโt read a review / summary.

Unexpected
My granddaughters love horses and the older one does ride occasionally. I didn't research its content very carefully, though, as it turned out to be more serious than I expected. It's a good message, but just not quite what I thought it would be. When I read it to the girls, they were very quiet and had nothing to say about it. Maybe when they're older....

Excellent Book for Therapy
I have conducted Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy for three years--great book for any age. Julia Cook summarizes how horses can break through resistance and foster acceptance and healing. Her book highlights the emotional intelligence and non-judging nature of our equine partners!

Not appropriate for children.
The content requires maturity.

awesome
This is a great example of what equine-assisted counseling can do to reach people. As a therapist, would recommend it to people wanting to know more about equine assisted therapy and EAGALA

Really good for Middle School
Heard Julia at a conference where she read this book. Could hardly wait to get it myself. Really good for Middle School.
