Must have for removing glass scratches
Well made and durable. Works great with a drill. If you want to remove scratches from a windshield, you must have this drill attachment to work in the Cerium Oxide. Quality product for the job it's designed for.

Held up to task
I used this pad to buff out some scratches in a windshield and was impressed at how well it held up to the amount of pressure and time that I used it.

Ultimately positive, but some learning and some effort was required.
This was a learning experience. Ultimately positive, but some learning and some effort was required. First, I reviewed several YouTube videos on methods to polish out windshield wiper "rubs". I ordered this wheel, plus some cerium oxide powder. Someone said to be patient. They were right. The job required three separate applications. For the first I used my 18 volt drill with the wheel. Small progress, lots of effort to control the drill. For second effort I shifted to my Craftsman corded grinder/polisher. More progress, but not total success. The third effort got me the result that I wanted. Be patient and maintain wetness of polishing powder in use.

Not a good value
Shaft is fully round, so no way to securely chock it in a drill. Used to polish a scratch out of glass and literally on the first pass, within the first few seconds, the edge had already rounded over, reduces in size. Huh? So not great quality, durability or design.

Worked great for some scratches on a mirror!
I painted an expensive wood framed mirror and had a few drips so I sanded them and scratched the glass. This tool did an amazing job with the polishing liquid my husband found.

Don't waste your money
I bought it in conjunction with the powder to remove scratches from the glass on my dining table. I used it for almost 30 minutes and it did nothing! No difference!

Buffed the scratches right out!!!!
Phew. I created a mountain out of a mole hill. I was following a cement truck on a highway that was throwing cement all over and it put a very small surface nick on my windshield. I should have left it, but its a new 2020 BMW, so I thought I could polish it so it was unnoticeable. I started with a Dremel tool and a buffing attachment. That put a haze on the spot that couldn't be wiped off. I then used a wet sand thinking that would clean it up. Boy was I wrong. It put lots of scratches all over the spot. I then read about cerium oxide, so figured what the heck. I bought this polishing wheel and the powder and used distilled water to apply it. It didn't take me any longer than 5 mins and 3 rounds of application before all the scratches were gone. Even the nick is smoothed out enough that I hardly see it. My windshield is back to normal. Unfortunately I couldn't find any window shops that would buff the glass due to structural liability. This saved me over $1K.
