Fabulous little telescope at beginner level.
Firstly I want to say that after reading mixed reviews I was a little dubious as to what I would receive - however I should not have worried at all, because for the price, this telescope is fantastic! It does work, it does focus, and you can attach the phone adapter and take photos (with a bit of practice) I will give you my tips to make the best of it - If it doesn't work then you have not set something up quite right.Firstly, READ the instructions from start to end. Once you have done this you will have a feel for how you are going to set it up. Get out all the pieces and using the instructions once again, build it step by step - the diagrams are really useful if you're not sure of the wording.Every part of this telescope has a locking screw and its anti-clockwise to untighten/take out screws and clockwise to tighten or screw back (depending on what you're doing)First the tripod - all 3 clips you see together on each leg, all unclip and extend in its separate part. Once all legs are extended you can unclip the wheel turn and wind it up further (tighten screw once at desired level so it doesn't move)Taking the locking platform off the top of the tripod and attaching to main part of telescope is tiny but tricky but totally doable - once you have attached telescope to the platform, make sure you pull out the locking key again so it can slot back on. then close clip. The eyepiece was also easy to fit on. Just check the diagram for numbered pieces so you can check right way on etc.Once all set up you can play about with the lenses. take off the covers, and unscrew the little silver screw to allow you to put the lens you want in.. screw it back in place. Point telescope towards a practice scene ( I went for over the vast fields to see what was there that I couldn't see with the naked eye) Once I moved the telescope around to find something, I used the focus wheels (attached to main telescope) slowly turn them both ways until you find the perfect focus - it was SO clear. I was so happy with it.There is also a Barlow lens if you wish to use - I haven't yet but if you do you just screw it in between the eyepiece and the main tube of telescope.Phone adapter: This was the most tricky for me as there is no real instructions on it - I mean, its fairly self explanatory but my tips are: take phone out of case - easier to align phones camera to the top of the adapter's lens this way. Its another screw to place your phone in, but my advice would be to not put the phone in first as I did - but screw the adapter lens into the eyepiece first and tighten it - this makes it MUCH easier to focus once you attach phone. Then attach phone aligning the camera on phone to lens piece and tighten screw to hold in place. I find that the focus is harder to find via phone but is possible if you move around slowly. Once you have the view, it moves very very easily as the phone weighs down the scope. so I would suggest using a phone Bluetooth remote to take the pictures to avoid unsettling the focus/view. you can buy cheap ones. (they connect and pair over Bluetooth)Overall, I am really pleased with this. It does the job, you can see a long way and it focuses perfectly. I am waiting for a clear night sky to try it at night so will update once I do but I am optimistic for good views! For the price this is amazing for beginners and kids.

Great first telescope
Good first telescope however it does move quite a bit, so it's hard to any serious observing. Great if looking at the moon or large objects in the sky. Also very short tripod.

Bought this as a Christmas gift
It is not that heavy I did not open it yet as I’m waiting for my nephew to open it as a Christmas gift but by the weight of it, it feels quite cheap

Good
I would say good quality for the price apart from you. Can’t really see out much at night or through the day, different need to buy a proper one so my son can enjoy having fun and looking at the stars at night.

Do not buy
Instructions do not match the product, parts mentioned in instructions manual are missing!! Impossible to put together there for the product does not work. Will be returning for a full refund. Very disappointed as this was a Christmas present

Great Beginners Telescope
Amazing value for the price. Quite lightweight and easily knocked off target, but if used carefully can produce wonderful results. Geat resonably priced way of introducing a child to the moon and stars
A**!
Amazing quality!!
The night before i spotted smth really bright next to the moon and always thought it was a star. NOPE! It was jupiter. I had to get a telescope to confirm it, although the telescope couldn’t pick it up. I took some pretty pictures of the moon instead. The quality is amazing. I didn’t realise it was a kids one at first but it’s great for adult beginners too! A shame it doesn’t come with a phone holder as it was a pain to take photos but they turned out amazing !!

Rubbish
I bought this to do some amateur stargazing with my children. This looked the ideal starter telescope. I don't think it is very good for the following reasons:- The tripod is small and not very sturdy.- The tripod is also not very tall and doesn't allow the telescope to elevate enough to see things at a high elevation.- There are no instructions on how to actually use it, just how to set up.- It is virtually impossible to adjust and secure the telescope on a target. The mechanism isn't smooth enough.- The phone attachment doesn't work well with large smartphones.Overall, although it can produce a clear image, I'm not impressed with this telescope. I would shop around and find something better.

The instructions should have a better set up
I like the fact that it is a telescope because I wanted to look at the stars and stuff and it was supposed to be an easy setup for beginners the only problem is in the instructions it is not give that great assembly instructions so the last part where you're supposed to look through it does not say exactly how to set up that last part or what lens to put on
