Love it!
I bought this to replace a much older model of Krups Espresso machine. It is so easy to use! The frother has a weird attachment that I think is supposed to be frothing for dummies and I just took it off because I have been old school frothing for a couple of decades. Like all machines its takes work to clean the frothing wand. I love the fact that it uses two different temps for making shots and frothing the milk. The continuous water supply is nice but I have found that after 4 lattes it needs a system reset which is a little disappointing. I usually make 6 or 7 at a time. Otherwise it is a good machine that I hope to be using for another decade!

Exploded after 3 years
Great machine, loved it for 3 years although randomly it would let out steam from where the coffee holder attaches. I’d try again and it would be ok. But recently it literally exploded, the coffee holder started turning by itself during operation, and before I could get to it, it violently flew away. The reason you don’t see any coffee grounds is because this time I only used water. The explosion was very intense, my ears were ringing. I was few steps away. The coffee cup shattered and was projected all over the kitchen. I just collected the pieces for the photo. The coffee holder was left untouched, it landed there upside down after spinning in the air. Maybe I had a faulty unit, but this was definitely dangerous and I thought everyone should know. Krups, please look into this issue.

High powered delicious
This machine works great. Plenty of power to press espresso and super steam. This is a replacement for the last model I had from a different maker. This one is so much better. Better made, better coffee, better foam. I did not know what I was missing. The machine is manual - meaning that you have to decide when to stop the coffee, but it is easy to see wen to do that. (when the color of the espresso get lighter). I have other small appliances from Krups that I have had for 40 years and they still work perfectly. Great price too.

Excellent Entry Level Espresso Machine
I have been making espresso drinks at the office with the Breville Barista Express. It is a great machine. Wanting to continue during my work-from-home months, I chose this machine. It is inexpensive, delivers great espresso, and steams milk. I have my own separate burr grinder set to the finest setting to grind the beans. It took some experimenting to get the right grind size, compaction, and fill level for the best tasting espresso. I removed the plastic foamer. It is easier to heat the milk and froth it with the stainless wand without the plastic. It foams too much at too cool of a temperature. It also makes it difficult to clean. You have to remove it to clean, so it is recycled. Just like the scoop/tamper. The plastic one is too flimsy and too small of a diameter for the protafilter. I purchased a 51mm tamper and it works perfectly. I used my digital calipers to measure the inside diameter to get the largest one so that all the coffee could be compressed evenly. Big difference. Also a cheap thermometer and small stainless milk pitcher will make your life easy. Pros: Works well. Tastes good after you balance the variables. Cons: Buy a 51mm tamper. Recycle the plastic foamer attachment.

Decent espresso machine
This espresso machine is very easy to use and clean. The manual that is provided with the machine can be a little confusing. It basically function much like any other budget espresso machine so you can pretty much ignore it. If you follow the manual, you basically cannot make any coffee nor steam any milk. I measured the temperature of the coffee after brewing and it's around 150 degrees Fahrenheit which is not really hot. This machine makes very thick foamy creama. Some coffee that I used has a little bit smoky and dark flavor which I really like. If you want to steam milk, I suggest you removed the plastic casing of the frother. The cons of this machine is that it is very difficult to steam milk. You cannot make latte art with it. It takes very long to steam the milk and makes too much bubbles. It's good for a cuppacino but not latte. Even the manual intentionally left out the latte part of steaming milk. It's a decent machine for making coffee. If you buy this machine for latte art, you will be very disappointed. I only have this machine for a month so I'm not sure how durable it is. Most budget espresso broke in a few month so I'm hoping that this krups machine last much longer.

Great for the price an works as well if not better than the more expensive Italian models.
It’s a very good quality espresso machine. I purchased a more expensive Italian model an the pump stopped pumping the water. I thought it needed cleaning , etc., so I followed manufacturers instructions. It seemed liked that did the trick, but it immediately began acting up again. In 2010 I was given a smaller Krups as a gift an it worked, daily, until January of 2017. I purchased the more expensive Italian model for myself for Christmas that year; it stopped working in April of this year, not lasting even 1 1/2 years. The only negative is that it doesn’t push the water completely through, a little is left with the finished grounds. But it heats up quicker an pushes the coffee through quicker than the expensive Italian model. I look forward to years of use.

Gasket fails- no replacement available.
I bought my first xp3208 Krups in November of 2020. I purchased the extended warranty. It mostly worked until 5/2022… it would pump but leak from the gasket the filter basket attaches to the machine. Then it quit working completely, it wouldn’t pump (it wasn’t calcified either) So I started the extended warranty process- another joke. I had to send it back and have them inspect it then wait a couple weeks for a refund. Meanwhile I purchased another identical machine from Amazon. Upon my first operation of the machine, it sprayed everywhere from the gasket. (Mind you I use a Krups auto grinder on the expresso setting, with a moderate tamp, not too hard and not too light right up to the max fill line and I clean the rim with a paper towel- every time) I returned it to Amazon, they sent me a replacement. (5/31/2022). It worked great until 10/14/2022. As it was brewing I heard a pop and then it started spraying everywhere from the gasket. So, I removed the gasket and cleaned everything thoroughly and reassemble and tested it- twice. It still leaked. The silicon gasket appears to have formed an indentation from the filter basket that is just enough to keep from forming a complete seal. So I started searching for a new gasket. No luck. I called Krups, I was impressed at first because I knew I was talking to an American, which is rare with customer service representatives. First she told me that the replacement seal is unavailable. Then she told me Amazon sells out of date products. So I asked her what the current model was… she informed me it was the XP3208!!! 🤯 Then she informed me it was still under warranty. She told me I had to send them the serial numbers and receipts and physical address and then they would send me a shipping label to send it to their repair center. She sent me the email while I was on the phone with her and I responded immediately with the requested information. Then the line went quite- somehow I was dropped or she just hung up. With no response after 2 days, I sent a follow up email- still no response. Now it’s been over a week and I still haven’t heard back from Krups. I’m very disappointed, I went with a name brand for a reason. This is allegedly a German company instead of Chinese which also influenced my purchase. I don’t know why it’s so difficult to consistently make a decent cup of coffee at home without spending a week’s wages on a machine. That and I can’t comprehend how these giant corporations that manufacture millions of a particular products but they won’t sell the simple parts to repair them- while they have boxes and boxes of said parts. And furthermore, the price went from $119 to $150 in less than 6 months. I guess it’s time to find something different, or maybe I should start drinking tea instead!!!

Love this machine!
I purchased this machine more than four years ago and I use it every single day for at least two cups a day, more if I have guests. It worked perfectly from the first time I used it and it still works just as perfectly more than four years later. It's easy to use and makes delicious coffee. Zero complaints.

J'aimerais que ce modèle soit plus facile à utiliser, information redondante porte à confusion.
Pour un usage domestique, la machine en soit est excellente mais elle présente beaucoup trop d'indications dans son utilisation contrairement au modèle antérieur.

Everything was perfect, good product, good delivery, what else to ask for ?
It is OK... It makes a pretty good coffee but it does not compare in quality of materials with my old KRUPS Coffee-espresso maker, this one was built like a tank, during it's 17 years of life it made about 15.000 cups. This new Coffee-espresso is fortunately much quieter, it makes a good foam, (maybe a little too much) and requires slightly less coffee grind for the same cup, probably because of a more efficient and hotter water pump. The taste is very good and less bitter.

Krups Espresso machine...
The Krups Espresso machine is assembled in China. The pump of this machine did not work at all when we tried to use it. The workmanship is poor....

Amazed!
Ok this thing is cheap. But good. Yes. Low price... but it’s made from as much plastic as they could use. It’s so light, you have to support it to get the coffee grinds in and out. But it makes espresso. Glorious cream, perfect temperature, easy enough to clean. I was doubting my purchase straight from the box till my first cuppa .... no more expensive machines for me... I just want good espresso without thh HT r fancy price tag. 😊
