Love this heater
I use this in my barn so I can fill water buckets with warm water or bathe horses. I love this thing- doesn't use near as much propane as I expected, and the water gets really hot. The hose/ sprayer that came with it broke after a few weeks of use- but before that the nozzle and water pressure was good. Super easy to swap out to anoyher hose and nozzle, you just have to make sure you use a rubber washer to keep it from leaking

Outstanding customer support
I purchased this unit for an outdoor shower setup as I'm currently living in an older RV and the shower is very cramped. I'm 6'3" and barely fit in it. This thing has been fantastic for four months. It has great water flow and I love that you can see the real time temp on the display. After a brief snowfall and a couple of days of freezing temperatures, I noticed that the plastic shower head had a significant crack and the internal burner flames were bright yellow instead of the bright blue flame I was used too. There was an issue with the propane regulator and a couple of error codes displayed. I contacted Camplux technical support and they attempted to walk me through a fix for the unit. Even though with their help it became functional, it still was not working properly. They offered a new replacement unit without any hesitation and it shipped to me within a week of contacting them. Thank you Camplux for standing behind your products.

Absolute garbage. Do not buy these.
ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. I have had three of this POS and they all stopped working after a few months of light use. I submitted warranty claims and they honored 1 out of 2 and ignored the second. Anyway I put the replacement unit in and few months later completely different issue. The ignitor doesnt work which is totally different issue from before. These should be illegal for how bad they are. I have escalated it to Amazon. If you want more details- I bought two of these units after reading a lot of good reviews. I needed something for our offgrid cabins that were 12v and propane and these fit the bill... except they dont...After about maybe 3 months of semi consistent use lets say 10 days a month they completely broke down almost around the same time. A few weeks apart. One of them just stop working completely for no apparent reason and another one started leaking because of an issue with the heat exchanger. Warranty claimed submitted and they are sending me replacements and have been good about honoring their warranty. They made it easy to contact them and get it rectified but its still $600 I am out. I will not put these things back in my units. If you are needing these specs check out the Raneins.Update: The Rainein 65000 BTU are gold. im not affiliated with them but I am loving it so far. Ordering a second one for replacing these. The knobs start to melt thats the first sign they are about done for!

Great for water slides and hot tubs
I use this for my kids’ water slide and other outdoor toys. I keep it around 80°F, and it works great. It does restrict the water flow some, but there’s still enough for the kids to enjoy our three-slide water slide. I’ve also used it to fill our hot tub.

initial feedback the day after installation. Unit installed on my travel trailer. works well.
Located in Mesa Arizona. Product seems good on initial quality. I give it four and a half stars on the second day. My name is Lee. I'm a plumber buy trade. I just bought this Forest river 2010 travel trailer and the furnace and water heater failed the first week. So i disconnected the old 6 gallon tank heater that sprung a leak. I purchased this 2.62 gallon per minute unit based only on its rating and plenty of videos on you tube to check it out before purchase. it took a lot of labor the remove the old system and re pipe it for the outside use with this tankless heater. Unit functions / works well. its a little touchy to get the proper gas flow and water flow to the correct setting. Be sure to be careful the unit will produce extremely hot water140 degrees and more. the conditions i installed the unit is 70 pounds of water pressure which is very high. Due to high water pressure when you increase water flow towards high setting it would turn the unit off. You would have to reduce water flow and it would turn back on. If you had lower water pressure this would most likely not happen. The original travel trailer propane system was used to supply propane. I had to buy a 3/8" flare hose to connect to the trailer propane system. A separate bottle would have worked just fine. I wanted it to be a part of the original system of the trailer. Shower head was very good I replaced the shower head in my shower with it. To the plumbing aspect. I have pex 1/2" piping and cut out all the piping and valves for the old heater. I piped both hot and cold water with a hose bib / silcock which has mounting a flange and mounted them through the wall of my trailer. I purchased standard washer and dryer flex hoses for water connections and the 3/8" flare hose so it was a permanent installation but easy to disconnect and remove for travel or replacement. Unit mounted easy. I did have to install wood under the unit to make wall stronger. My travel trailer wall was just a thin piece of metal. One factor of note is that if you are trying to use two fixtures like the bathroom and kitchen sink at one time the unit cant really keep up with the higher demand for water. So temperature and water flow are reduced, but that's no big deal. In the end I like the unit... In Mesa Arizona we don't see freezing much so when its in the 30's cold and windy unit functions without issues. A noteworthy fact, there is no pilot flame its electronic ignition. I like 120 degree water. Unit takes 13 seconds to produce hot water at my kitchen sink in very cold conditions (30's - 40's). My sink is about 15-16' away. Its only 4 or 5 seconds for my bathroom which shares the wall the unit is installed on. one thing that that made me second guess the unit was the digital display. After I put the batteries in the display did not come on. I thought it was broken. The display will not be on until the heater is active and producing hot water. All in All the unit produces very, very hot water. Its propane efficient, again no pilot flame its electronic ignition. Unit is very quiet during combustion in comparison to other tankless heaters.Tankless heaters are the future of water heating. So as a comparison of the 6 gallon original heater and the Camplux heater, it's a no brainer. The original heater had a pilot and ran all day long to maintain the 6 gallons of water. The 6 gallons of water lasted 4 to 5 minutes when taking a shower. that's horrible and way to short. the original unit was really heavy, this unit is half the weight and much easier to work on. the old heater was a pain to work on being on the inside of the trailer. So, if your old system has failed just say good buy to it and put a modern tankless replacement for it and never run out of hot water. I got the unit and the needed materials for around 400.00 dollars. I did the labor so that's not factored in. the replacement for the 6 gallon heater was north of 600.00 buy itself.UPDATE:After using the heater for a few days, it had issues in my shower. when tempering the hot water with cold water in the shower somehow the unit turns off and stops producing hot water, but what i have realized is that the shower head that came with the unit greatly reduces water flow. so, I took of the shower head that came with the unit and replaced it with the one that was in my shower previous to my purchase of the tankless heater. this head dose not force the water through lots of small holes, so it doesn't affect the flow rate at the unit, thus it works properly. The unit is working well. You need to change the gas flow and water mixture when the outside temp changes but that's no big deal.Best of luck to you.Lee.

Great heater, even better customer service.
Great heater, even better customer service. We damaged our unit through our own mistake (ran it on its side — mount it vertically, folks!). Told Camplux it was 100% our error, and they still worked with us on a resolution. Product heats fast, sets up in minutes, and the company genuinely stands behind its customers. Buying Camplux again without hesitation. Highly recommend!

Awesome Product
This product is outstanding. Now, it takes a bit more intelligence to operate then a Lego set but please read the directions. I have set the heater up in my garage and plumbed an additional line from my main water line which has a shut-off valve. I ran a hose from the valve to the unit so I don't have to hook up a hose every time I want to use it. I merely open the valve and have a constant water supply. Next, the propane tank sits on the ground and is turned on/off when needed..... that's it!!! With the water and gas on, all you do is push the "on" switch on the handle and the water flows and the unit ignites the propane to heat the water. I use city water so the pressure is perfect. The shower pressure is like a regular shower. The water is heated in seconds!! BE CAREFUL..... it can get extraordinarily hot !!! You can regulate the temperature by the following: To make hot ~increase gas or decrease water flow [using knobs on heater]. To cool ~ decrease gas and/or increase water flow. It takes just a few tries til you have the perfect temperature. I have the unit in my garage by the main door to my driveway. Primary reason for my purchase ~ to clean my dogs off after walks and for their baths. We decided on the 8L 2.11 GPM because we needed a bit bigger than the 5L and also wanted the auto shut-off [on handle]. When the water flow is shut off, the gas shuts off. Once you hit the switch on the handle and turn the water flow on again, the unit fires back up........ it's amazing!! It saves propane and is very safe. Again, read the directions, ensure all connections are made nice and tight. All supplies and extras are provided in the box. I wish I could take a picture of my set-up. I have this nice wash center in the corner of my garage. It's perfect and exactly what I wanted and needed. My digital temperature display is in Fahrenheit [some pictures show a Celsius display]. I love this heater !!!!

Great product and even better company!
This is the first time I have ever written a review of a product. I was compelled to write this after my experience with Camplux. First off the water heater is amazing! I still do not understand how this unit can heat water that fast and that hot (140 degrees). Even the shower head is awesome. The volume of water is just right. The water pressure is not so hard that your wasting water (for those who may be using it off grid like me) nor is it too low. It is surprisingly light weight and easy to hang and store away.I was actually prompted to write this review after my experience with Camplux's customer support team. On my first off grid trip with the water heater I forgot to disconnect it from my water tanks and to drain the unit as instructed. Well, when the temperatures fell into the low 20's you can guess what happened. Yes, everything froze and as a result the shower head broke and the internal water valve cracked. I contacted customer support and they responded immediately. Without any undue hassle they are sending me replacement parts!! How amazing is that?

Cheap, hard to hook up
Fairly cheap. Doesn’t heat the water hot enough. It’s also a hassle to use. Edit. The seller has contacted me and is making things right. For that I bumped up the review to a 3 star.

Works great, but can vary based on ambient air temperature and wind
Very happy with this water heater. It is hard to get water hotter than 95f when it is cold outside, as during spring time. During the summer months it has been working great, water temp can easily go over 120f. So need to adjust the settings from time to time. The shower head attachment that comes with it is my only complaint, the connection between the hose and shower head is very flimsy, I will be replacing it. Otherwise this is great and well worth the money.

Does the job well
Easy to set up. Had a faulty hose which burst after a couple months but they were quick to replace it. We are happy with it's performance. The heater is similar to ones we've experienced in other places in that it heats up to hotter than wanted then cools down to a comfortable level. The temperature control is a bit finicky. Move it very slightly as it changes dramatically. Experimented with the water flow to adjust temperature but finally left it on lowest setting. Installation instructions called for much more space above the heater for safety and we almost sent it back due to having a roof on the outdoor shower. We tried it and found it did not get very hot above it at all.
