Right out of the package, they were quite stiff so I threw them in the washer on hot (twice) and the dryer on high (once). Figured I get the shrinkage out of the way if there was any. There wasn't. Out of the thirteen, only one edge started to unravel with two more on the way but those were on the corners and could just be loose thread. But they are still a bit rough on my nose. I went for the bamboo because I was used to bamboo yarn and socks. I'm not sure if its how they process, thread count, or the cotton, but these are not super soft. They do work as a hanky, I just need to remember not to do any vigorous rubbing. I am hoping that they will soften more over time as I have seen other cotton hankies do.

I’m trying to take steps to be more eco-friendly as they occur to me. This was my latest one. I am old enough to remember my grandparents using handkerchiefs, but young enough to have been brought up thinking they are unsanitary. Turns out they’re great. The getting used to them was my biggest hurdle and it was pretty quick & easy. I keep one on the nightstand and another on my desk (although if I was not working from home, a drawer or pocket would doubtless be better). It turns out they aren’t the mess I anticipated. I replace them with fresh as needed and them throw them in the wash. They are a natural fabric, so they wrinkle in the dryer - not excessively, but around the edges for the most part. I spend a few minutes wetting the perimeter after washing and pulling out the wrinkles, then air drying. They dry very quickly and are pristine for the few extra minutes of effort. I prefer this to fabrics treated to be wrinkle-free as those chemicals are bad for living things and the environment. I’m very pleased this was such as easy eco-saving effort, and am just starting to realize how much money I no longer have to spend on paper tissues. Win-win!

Good quality

I wish I would of just gotten some 100% cotton. These are not so soft as they claimed. I have some cotton blend ones that are softer and easier on the skin.

I got these for my husband who likes to carry hankies. They were a little more expensive than some I have bought but definitely worth it. Soft and absorbent, wrinkly bit when you dry them in the dryer it’s not like I’m gonna iron them anyway.

.... but not what I hoped for. 30% cotton blend product is not as soft or absorbent as a previous 100% bamboo product from another supplier. I've washed them once - hopefully they'll soften as little more when washed again.
