I stumbled on this product when I was looking for anything that would get rid of the wet dog smell being left on the dishes after washing them in the dishwasher several times using liquid/pod type products. I also tried using white vinegar and baking soda with the normal dish washer pods I was using. I tried everything. I even started cleaning my dishwasher once a week with a dishwasher cleaning product. But nothing got rid of the wet dog smell in the dishwasher or on the dishes or if it did get rid of it, the results were temporary lasting maybe 1 or 2 dishwasher cycles. Then I saw a post on one of the reviews for another product when I was looking for something that could remove the wet dog smell on my dishes. Others were complaining about a wet dog smell and someone mentioned Nellie's Dishwasher powder (not a liquid). They said the newer dishwasher liquid/pods were the problem. So I gave it a try. I was desperate. This product worked so well. I still use the rinsing agents that go into a compartment on the door for that product. But for the real cleaning I use the Nellie's packets. I am happy to report the wet dog smell is completely gone. I smell nothing on my dishes, which is wonderful since I am so sensitive to perfume smells. Definitely using this product from now on. I have been using this product for about a month. I just reordered again.

I was a little hesitant to buy this product after reading soem of the reviews. I took a leap and purchased it. So far, it has worked well with my dishwasher. My husband and I are the weekend "preppers." We use a lot of fats in our cooking and a lot of tupperware, which makes for hard to clean dishes if you don't soak them or use hot water. We put our tupperware in the dish washer and used the normal settings. The soap did well with taking the grease out. I wouldn't say it does anything spectacular. It get's the job done and that's about it, which to me is four star worthy. There are no uber sparkling dishes or great scent. Really, what more do you want though? If you're looking for something to give you a gold star sticker because you used a soap that's a little more Earth friendly, look elsewhere.

I really like this product. At first the dishes didn't come out clean at all, after looking at some tips from other the reviews on Amazon I filled my dishwasher additive compartment (the one on the door) with white vinegar. It worked, just adding the vinegar my dishes came out just as clean if not cleaner then the other brands I've been using. I also noticed after using Nellie's for a weak all the tarnish marks on my silverware came out and I now have nice looking silver again. I would give it a try if I where you, at least try one bag, I think you might be pleased

I’m not sure they work as well as the bulk powder. There’s only 2 of us, so I run the dishwasher ever two to three days. But I do rinse them well before putting in the dishwasher. These left some food on the dishes. I do like Nellies products overall because they work well with a water softener.

Love this product. I researched this product because my other dishwasher tabs smelled so strong. I could smell their scent when I drank out of clean glasses. With Nellie's there is no smell at all. Cleans dishes very well. Love Nellie's dishwasher pods

I did not want to write a bad review but using this has been a terrible experience. I have had to rewash the dishes from my dishwasher as they are so streaked and covered in soap. I have tried 4 washes. Everyone was terrible. I even cut it and used only half a tab the last load and it was still terrible. My sink would get soapy just from rinsing the dishes. I actually had to rinse my dishes in vinegar and scrub the soap scum off. I have no idea why except that when I looked on the Nellie's site it says that these are best used with soft water and I do not have soft water. No where on the site I bought them on or on the packaging does it say this. I was happy with how fast they came but am not using even 1 more.
