I have a 2018 12.9” iPad Pro, the unlocked, higher-end model. Having spent a premium price, when my iPad has a fast charging feature-I want to use it. For several months I searched for a second USB-C fast charger, one that didn’t break the bank. This way I’d have a charger close to the nightstand, a second in the living room, without constantly moving and losing them.Right here on Amazon, I went through three duds. One or two may be in my reviews. They were advertised as fast chargers, but in no shape or form were. Then, I ordered this one on Prime Day, perhaps my best purchase that day. Then again my iPad is my most used possession. I love my new charger. It charges my iPad as fast as the original Apple Charger. The one before couldn’t even keep up. It actually lost a charge if I used my iPad in Airplane mode while plugged in.There are two bonus perks with this Apple-friendly charger. It comes with a little adapter which Velcros securely to the main USB-C cord. This extra adapter is a regular USB adapter. For me, this means I can now fast charge my iPhone X as well-any electronic that takes advantage (or doesn’t) of a fast charger and USB or USB-C. Super convenient. The second perk is this charger is powerful enough to charge my 2017 MacBook Pro. It doubles as a laptop charger and does so flawlessly. So, I’m keeping this one by my bedside. It charges all of my Apple devices, except my iMac as that one isn’t portable. It’s worth nothing this charges both Macbooks and MacBook Pros. Of course, this charger is not exclusive to Apple products, but anyone who uses Apple products knows that Apple accessories are expensive. Genuinely, I like this better than my Apple brand charger, and it is cheaper. A winner in my book.UPDATE: I’ve been using this charger for a few weeks, and I appreciate it even more today. It has a blue light that shows when it’s charging. A red light when the USB/USB-C cord becomes unplugged, or when it’s no longer charging. The one drawback that I can think of is it is larger than the charger that comes packaged with your tablet. However, this doesn’t bug me enough to knock off a star/demote the review. In fact, it just makes sense. It needs that bigger block-extra power-to be able to also charge a more powerful laptop. It also houses needed safety features like auto shut off to prevent overcharging. Hands down, I’d purchase this again. I may even purchase a second. This is still my favorite charger. These would be a 5 star product if they did not advertise it for the MacBook Pro. If you are getting a charger for the MacBook Pro, you need a 87W or 96W charger. This is a 45W charger and will not be able to charge your laptop when you’re gaming or encoding.Outside of that, it should be able to supply power to a MacBook, MacBook Air, and the iPad Pro perfectly!It has been a great charger, great build quality with the brick and cord, and feels very premium. It does a great job of managing voltage levels and heat. I recommend this product minus that misadvertising about the MacBook Pro!

I bought this for my husband to have a second charger for his iPad Pro. I specifically wanted one that was certified and could be sent by Amazon. The Apple stores close by are so busy, I just didn’t want to deal with them. He’s had this charger for a month and it works flawlessly. It’s never overheated or even made the iPad warm like some off brand chargers will. Overall, it’s been a great value for us. I would recommend it for an iPad Pro for sure!

Bought as a back up for MacBook Air 2018.This works as well as the original.The blue light indicates power.The charger does not overheat, doesn’t even get warm, in my experience.Absolutely no issues.Wonder what kind of adapter Apple will create next 🙄

This charger works perfectly. I use it for my MacBook as well as my iPad Pro. It is a quick charger, and I have not had any problems with it. It works just as well as the charger that came with my MacBook and iPad Pro. I can also use it to charge my cell phone with the included C charging cable adapter. There are no problems with overheating, so you don't have to worry about the cords or the adapter getting hot. It is small and compact and great for travel as well. It comes with a 1 year warranty, so it something goes wrong I feel confident knowing I can get a replacement easily.

I brought this charger with so much confidence knowing Amazon would do everything possible to put a smile in my face if the product didn’t work. After 6 months of Using this changer I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED with it. It’s charges my iPad Pro super fast and it works phenomenal. If you want want the best charger to have as a backup or replace buy this one. After losing a lot of money and headaches from store chargers I’m finally happy that I found this charger. I bought three of these chargers as 'extras' to have around the office. One of our Execs used it and it immediately ruined her 2020 MacBook Air 13". Exactly the same issue as some of the other 1-Star comments. Her computer wouldn't charge and the battery icon on her screen said it was charging regardless of whether it was plugged in or not. Totally destroyed her $1500 computer.I'm sure many people have no issues with these...the question is whether you want to risk your computer to save a few dollars.I'm returning all 3. Thankfully no one else used them.

I used this for my MacBook Pro 15’’ 2018 and within 2 days my laptop wouldn’t charge and I had to end up buying an apple branded charger and my computer now needs maintenance work. I’m not sure if this product is specifically for this type of Macbook but I have reason to believe it did damage to my Macbook. I’m going to be looking into getting a refund.

Please don’t buy this!!!!!!! It does not work. Ruined my laptop I had to go to Apple to get it fixed. Makes my laptop so hot and doesn’t even charge.

High quality, and holds up nicely. I purchased three of these and don’t regret it at all — might pick up another one!
