Candle Making Like a Pro is a great book for those who want to not only improve their skills but great for those who want to learn a new fun hobby. This book provides you with in-depth details and instructions in regards to the process of candle making and as well as the difficulties you may come across when making them. What I really enjoyed was how the author provided a history of candles - the development and use... I also liked how this guide not only shows how to make simple candles but shows you how to make elaborate candles that would be perfect for gifts after mastering the skill. Candles not only provide a great scent around your home, but can be used as gifts for friends and family as well as something you can make a profit from when you learn to make candles like a pro. I think it's great that the author added chapter 7 into this book - "turning your candle making into a business". This book definitely helped improve my candle making skills and it will help yours as well.

This book is a little wordy and only covers the very basics of candle making as well as a very selective history of candles. If you know nothing about making candles this book can help, but there are better ones available.

Making candles may seem as simples as melting wax into a mold, but there are actually more steps involved if you want to create something unique and heartfelt. This is a great guide helps you pick the right type of wax without being overly technical. There are also parts that cover making different styles of candle that you can uses to accentuate your home, or as gifts for close friends.The section that laid out what “not” to do while making candles was easy to read, easy to understand, and saved me a lot of time by preventing mistakes before they happen. I personally make candles for friends and family, but for those that wish to make a little extra through their craft, the book has a section dedicated to improving your sales strategy.The book is not too short as to be incomplete, and not too long as to be tedious to complete. It’s affordable priced and a great resource for those new to candle making.

Boo! I was hoping for a real book not a pamphlet. It's really smal and large lettering on like 80 pages. I'm not happy because it's a book of advice. No actual information. I already knew what it had to say and I'm self tought. I'm lacking so much information I needed help to understand wick sizes and container sizes. Seems impossible to find that information.

I have been thinking about getting into candle making for a while now but haven’t really been sure how to get started or what kinds of things I would need. This book provides an excellent basis for how to get started in candle making. I particularly enjoyed the history part at the beginning. In addition to helping me figure out what I needed and how to go about actually making candles this book takes it to the next level and lays out a potential business plan and how to turn a hobby into a potential business!

It's a pretty good guide of the basics. I'd never actually heard of gel candles before or of soda candle fountains so I'll file those under "you learn something every day," But the one I want to try the most is the Balloon Candle.Good book if you're looking to get into candle making and, like me, really had no idea what kind of variety there was to them.

Disappointed. Only very basic information.

Very general information which is ok for an introductory book but it would have been much better with some photos showing the various types of candles. Sources of materials would have helped also.

Would be better with diagrams.
