Make sure you liberally apply some plumber's putty to the washer and threads of the drain (and order the correct size, as there is 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 are the two most common size). I neglected this step the first install, and found that without putty or plumbers' tape that it would in fact leak (which you won't see unless you have access to the underside of your tub like I did- and which is a tip more for first time do-it-yourself plumbers, rather than experienced homeowners). This includes a plastic "enlarger" which can screw on the threads of the smaller size, so it's a two-for-one. I wished they offered a set that included the two holed overflow drain, but it includes an adapter to make it work. The adapter is a little short width-wise though, so using some metal washers to ensure proper hold would be best, otherwise it might slip to the left or right. Overall good quality, but know that if you're ordering the entire Oil Rubbed Bronze set for your tub/shower, the "plastic" Moentral/Delta shower plate/knob set is a noticeably lighter shade than the metal pieces, but altogether this is a nice, quality, substitute for the budget minded who don't wish to spend hundreds of dollars on Moen/Delta pieces.

Appears to be well made with good quality material. I was pleasantly surprised how quick an easy, it was for me, to replace the old chrome drain and overflow cover. It made our old vinyl bath/ shower look new and modern. Note: Don't be scared. I never had the special drain tool,I improvised, two, different small pliers. One needle nose, the other regular.

Fortunately the item was undamaged, but the original box, partially collapsed, and the items were loose within the delivery pouch. Otherwise, no problem, great item and price.

No issue with the coating. The drain plug sometimes needs to be flipped down to create a seal.

I bought the brushed nickel drain kit. Apparently, in an effort to make this more universal (possibly metric and US imperial sizes), the all-metal drain part is fitted with a cheap nylon thread spacer (jacket) so it can be used on two dran pipe sizes. IT STRIPS! I made sure it was not cross threaded, but when I tightened it down to to compress the rubber gasket, it stripped the nylon jacket, turning freely in the drain with no way to ensure it won't leak. That is completely idiotic! Tough PVC drain pipe? Check. Metal drain insert? Check? Cheap nylon spacer? What the heck? The spacer should be metal or there should be no need for a spacer at all since all US drains have used the same diameter threaded pipe for at least 3 decades. Update: I tested the pop-up drain valve and IT DOESN'T CLOSE THE DRAIN. Water constantly flows down the drain wither the stopper is up or down. I am returning this. JUNK! DO NOT BUY!

Kingston Brass DTT5302A7 – Decent quality, but not without issues. The finish looks great for the first year and it functions as expected, but installation was a bit tricky, and some parts feel less sturdy than I hoped. Works, but could be improved. I had to buy another one after 18 months since internal screw was stuck and I had to brake the system in order to remove it.

Black is chipping off after less than 1 month of use. Do not recommend.

Purchased this and the finish came off in several months. Initially it looked great, but the seal isn't very good, but the finish doesn't last. I don't use any chemical cleaners so it's not that.

Matches my Shower, controller and Faucet.

Bought this fitting a little over a year ago and are disappointed to say it has not lasted. It still functions OK, it never totally sealed and has always allowed a bit of water to pass. But that’s not the real problem. The matte black finish has deteriorated and is now showing brass through. It started about 6 months ago and is now really looking bad. Decent functioning product but finish does not stand up the test of time
