Perfect for your favorite Star Trek uniform! Communicator badge like the ones worn by the Starfleet crew! Reproduced from screen-filmed props. Resin and hand painted Reproduced from screen-filmed props, this stellar replica represents the actual communicator badges that were worn on the Star Trek TV shows. Constructed of resin and hand painted, it features a double-Velcro backing for application to your favorite Starfleet uniform. Measures about 2-inches tall x 1 1/2-inches wide. In Star Trek: The Next Generation and later series, the crew wore small communicator badges on their left breast. These devices are in the shape of the Starfleet Insignia, and are activated with a light tap. They also incorporate the universal translator. The Combadge, in the shape of the Starfleet Insignia, was worn on the Starfleet uniform during the 2360s. The first version of the communicator badge was used throughout the TNG series and during the first two seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Please note item comes in zip lock bag packaging.

Flawless replica of the onscreen prop
People complaining about this should have bought that piece of s**t QMX replica instead. This is a real replica of the actual shooting prop, not a stylized fashion piece. It is exactly the right size, shape, and finish.

Pretty Good Reproduction.
These Combadges are a pretty good reproduction of Starfleet issued (screen used) Combadges. I use my reproduction Combadge for off duty purposes or when I am undercover on a secret Starfleet mission. Live long and prosper!

Badge replica
I bought this because with a name like "Roddenberry", how can you go wrong? Well...when I got it the first thing I realized is that it looked a tad small. Having been a fan for years and watched every STTNG episode, you get a sense of what things on a uniform should look like. I have a metal pin I bought a few years ago, and they were definitely different sizes. I tried to live with it a few days, but to a real fan it was just not possible. I sent it back hoping to get the one QMX is making, saying it is 'screen accurate', but they keep pushing back the ship date. So if you don't mind the size, go for it.

Over Priced!
This is an extremely high price for something that only costs $5.00 to make $10.00 at the most.I Know this because I used to make them for the show! This looks like the original Mold we used.Exact Accuracy is 2" Tall by 1 5/8" wide! This picture is exactly how they appeared close up, the Originals are made from resin and are spray painted with Krylon Gold and Silver the black detail was then added with a notched black Sharpie Marker. Looks Great on uniform from 4 feet back! I Often got told that I was done with a prop because the Camera "Would not Capture" The detail I wanted to put in. Now with remastered episodes and HD TV I can see those imperfections, but I'm picky that way!We made several hundred of these for the show as this was the most common item to disappear from the set as Actors and extras could easily pocket them for a souvenir!I remember I was painting these the day we got the news of Gene Roddenberry's death...

Com badge is exact replica!
Erica, you have no idea of what you are talking about. This is an EXACT replica right down to the "notched sharpie" used to outline the delta. I paid $1800.00 for a screen used com badge from TNG at the Cristies Auction, and it doesn't look as good as these do. Of course, that's because it was used a LOT on the show, you can tell. So, please...........don't comment if you don't know anything about how the original com badge was made. You might keep some real fans from buying the finest com badges ever made. Here's qnother little Star Trek secret I'm sure you don't know about............the "red" part of the uniform tunic worn on TNG is not red at all..........it is actually more "purple" than red or maroon........that's right! The stage lights make it look redish/maroon due to their brightness. And yes, I also own a screen used TNG uniform tunic from Christies, so be careful what you post............I don't want a real fan to miss out on these!

EXCELLENT prop replica of the TNG commbadge
This prop replica is probably the best replica of the original TNG commbadge. Beware that the originals from the show were resin and often somewhat unrefined. This replica was replicated from the originals so it exhibits these imperfections. For a prop collector, this is the next best thing to owning an original. People who want an idealized, clean copies with a machine like finish are better off getting something less accurate (like the metal ones, etc.) If you want what is essentially a near exact copy of the originals, then this is perfect!
