Nice bandsaw
I received this bandsaw a couple of months ago now and can i say i really like it. Shipping took a while, and getting it into by shop was somewhat difficult due to weight and my low door way. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the bandsaw i received was updated with no tool guide adjusters and several other features that i had noticed complaints about when researching the saw. The saw is nicely painted, heavy, square and cuts very nice. Set up was not bad, and in a couple of hours from starting i had it up and running and tested it out. I have not cut all that much with it since purchasing, but what i have cut has been great. I really like the tool less adjusters on the blade guides, and they also have dual bearings on all guides. Table is perfectly square and flat and heavy and adjusts easily in different positions. I put the saw on a build it yourself bear crawler from grizzly and it works great as well. I am really glad i bought this saw and not a cheaper one from another company, super stable, pretty quiet and very well made.

Great machine
The jet brand is impeccable and you can’t go wrong ordering it. Just make sure that it’s the one that you want before you push the button. I realized that I had bought the wrong machine about 15 minutes after I purchased it and tried canceling the order but it would not cancel. I tried multiple times to cancel the order at least 10 times along the way, and even when the shipper called me to schedule the date, I told him that it was ordered by mistake and I tried to cancel the order so the shipper told me he would cancel it and yet the machine showed up at my house two days after my conversation with him… so again Jett is the number one brand in machinery in my book, but the process could use some work the amount of money they spent shipping that machine across the country is probably ridiculous and if they implemented a better process, maybe stall the order for six hours so that the buyer is positive that they wanted it would be a good idea anyways that’s my two cents but again the machine Brand is excellent high-quality. I’ve owned a few in my lifetime. Never had any issues with them. My jet drill presses on the way lol

Very good tool for a reasonable price.
This band saw has everything I've wanted in a tool like this, and for a very reasonable price. Assembly was not very difficult, and I set it up in about 2 hours. Very nice tool.

Good bandsaw with a few problems
Jet Bandsaw: User Comments and SuggestionsOverall Impression:I purchased the Jet bandsaw as a replacement for my old saw about a month ago. While I haven’t used it extensively yet, I’ve tuned it up and would like to share my initial thoughts. The saw works well overall, but I encountered a few issues worth noting.1. Tension Gage AccuracyThe tension gage, designed to help set blade tension based on blade width (1/8–1/2”), was not calibrated accurately at the factory.I had to buy an “EZ Tension” tool ($50) to properly adjust the gage. After using it, I was able to calibrate the bandsaw’s gage correctly.2. Blade Guide AdjustmentThe upper ball bearing blade guides adjusted easily. The lower guides were problematic: the thrust bearing behind the blade was misaligned and provided little support.I fixed this by unscrewing the shaft and adding spacer washers to reposition the bearing.3. Tension Lever DesignThe tension lever is meant to relieve blade tension when the saw is not in use. It’s difficult to tell if the blade is under tension just by looking, which led to the blade coming off the wheels when I tried to use the saw without tension. As a result, I now leave the blade under tension even when not using the saw.Summary:Despite these issues, the Jet bandsaw performs well.

Love my new Jet bandsaw
The delivery was on time and I received several notifications regarding the timing. The crew placed it exactly where I asked. The assembly was fairly easy and it was packed well. I was a bit concerned buying a big tool from Amazon but there were no issues and I would do it again. The saw is heavy and you assemble it on its side. I was prepared to ask for help standing it up so as not to bend the platform whitch is stamped steel. I was able to raise the bottom and support it with 6 or 7 2x6s under the cast frame. I then lifted from the top and it stood right up with no assistance.I have just made a few test cuts but the saw is well powered and cuts well. This replaces an old 1hp bandsaw and there is no comparison. If considering a smaller hp model I would recommend you go big.

Good Product, Proud To Own It.
Came missing eight bolts that are used for assembling the base, pretty important. Other than the 30 day de-live-Erie, the bandsaw seems to be top notch, I love it. If you don’t have a hoist or Arnold Schwarzenegger to help getting the unit onto the base, then that portion could be challenging. The setup process seemed lengthy, but thorough and well worth the effort because you know everything will be exact. It does not come with a blade, that’s kinda important also. It doesn’t come with a miter gauge, and it doesn’t come with a light, but it’s a high quality machine and I’m driving it to work on Monday.

Good features at the price point. Quite happy with it.
I'm a hobbyist woodworker and spent several months debating on which bandsaw to buy to compliment the rest of my garage wood shop. Have owned for ~1.5 months now. Went with this one over 4 other saw models (griz/rikon/PM/Shop Fox) for a few reasons:1. Cast Iron wheels - more momentum = less slowing down on cuts2. All roller bearing guides - I knew I'd end up getting a Carter bearing system down the road with several other saws I was looking at so this model having this type from the factory saved me that bit of coin.3. 13" Re-saw capacity. I won't use it all the time but will be nice when I do. Matches my planer capacity.4. Not giant, but not small in anyway. This saw is in the goldilocks zone for my workshop/needs at the moment. I knew I wanted a floor model saw and not a benchtop but didn't want something like a 17" griz with a bigger footprint and "ominous presence" in my 2car garage shop. Also didn't want something on a skinny legs style stand.5. Timberwolf blades in 116" sizes of various widths are readily available and are awesome.6. Price through amazon was good and knew the return would be easy if I wasn't happy.7. Quick release tensioner lever. As I get more time and projects completed with this tool, I'll try to report back because I know how helpful these reviews can be to people. For right now though? No regrets on this purchase. Have finished a twin bed frame in Ash and am working on some cedar outdoor furniture.BTW!!! - The saw DOES NOT COME WITH A BLADE so make sure you buy one when you get the saw. The Timberwolf blades in 116" are working quite well for me.

Excellent Saw
Well made and what you would expect from Jet. The dual dust ducts are great if you have the fittings it takes to couple them to a 4” dust extractor. You should really have a Y splitter and a length of flexible hose to couple the dust extraction from both ports. It’s quite heavy so recommend taking time and making room ahead of delivery. One (minor) flaw i found was when setting up the tension pointer the 2 button head cap screws were 3mm hex drive, but should be the deeper 4mm socket head screws to prevent stripping the hex drive of the screw. They were in extremely tight. I ended up dremel cutting a slot to use a flat head screwdriver. No biggie but noted.Excellent table and fence, lots of good setup videos out there too (ref. “Snodgrass”).Great to rip laminates with a sturdy fence up to 13” high.
