Resident Evil 2 Remake PS4

I loved this game in original form, and this is a serious step up. First time I used the shotgun to kill a zombie, I laughed out loud at the mess it left. Really engrossing, great game play, and puzzles that will challenge and frustrate. One of my favourite games of recent time.

A great game that takes me back a few years to the original. The graphics and game play are brilliant. I thoroughly recommend this ace game.

One of the better games I've played in the past few years, great gameplay, silly and campy story and lots of replayability

I couldn’t wait to replay this game having enjoyed the original - and I wasn’t disappointed. Even as a veteran, standard mode was a challenge because you waste a lot of ammo running back and forth trying to figure out the puzzles. Most are unlocking routes but a few make you think. The fighting is fun and while some of the boss fights are frustratingly easy to screw up, the game plays well. So why only three stars? Because of the second run through. This was a huge feature of the original. Two characters in the same area only the second character (whoever you chose) is affected by the first run characters decisions. Board up a window to make your life easier? Screws over the 2nd character. Pick up a gun, second character can’t now have it, etc etc. Each run also had a different route, with different bosses. If I remember right, the original 1st had Birkin while the 2nd had MrX. In the remake they were just plain lazy. The second run just throws you into the mix with no intro as to how you got there. Then the doors that the first character unlocked are now locked again? But they were at least kind enough to put the key back EXACTLY where they found it... Ammo and items respawn like the first character had never taken them. Boarded windows, now unboarded. Very disappointing. Boss fights happen the same too, with the same death sequence. So character one gets smashed through a grill floor. Character two comes along and gets smashed through the EXACT same floor... Come on Capcom. That’s just plain f*****g lazy! If the price is cheep and you like the series, I highly recommend it. But don’t be expecting a decent 2 scenario game that cleverly melds the two points of views into one. Capcom? More like Cashin
