Can you run two different input sources [example: 2 laptops] at the same time, one input source to each side of the screen?

You can use PBP to setup this monitor as 2 displays BUT you need to know about this odd setting change! On widows 10/11 go to display settings>advanced display settings. You should have set the resolution to 1920x1080 for 2 displays but here you will probably see a different ‘active signal resolution’. To fix this select Display adapter properties>List all modes. In this menu it probably shows the correct resolution already selected but this is a bug, select a different resolution and then re-select the correct one and click apply. This seems to be a common issue with any PBP monitor but once you make this change it should work fine. Microsoft needs to fix this. Ignore the reviews that complain about this issue, it’s unfortunate that CS was not about to guide them to this solution.

How much space do you need for the stand of the monitor?

36 inches from left to right 12 inches vertical this is an amazing monitor you will be pleased

I get it has split screen capability, does it have a picture-in-picture per each screen or as a whole?

It has picture-by-picture, but not picture-in-picture.

Does someone use 49” monitor for work (emails, spreadsheets, text documents, other random stuff? Can you share your experience?

I use mine for office work. Took a few days to get used to and I downloaded a windows manager with hot keys to quickly size my windows, but I could never go back now. Its been fantastic.
