Simple to install, simple to select volume and ring tone. Ring tones are not all that nice sounding, but it's a doorbell, I just "need" it to get my attention, the selection of ring tones is just gravy. It's very easy to cycle through the tones, but you can only go forward, so a bit cumbersome to listen to them all and then get to the one you want. All in all, probably 10 minutes of clicking next next next. The push button is mounted at front door, the ringer located at back of house (80' distance), near my patio, so we can hear people at the door from any where in the house and when on the back patio. Wife asked me to turn the volume down (perfect).One small installation note: I used screws to mount the push button and had to use a drill to prepare the mounting holes, seems like they could easily make the the mounting spots just pop out, but 2 minutes to get the hand drill and 10 seconds to drill two holes was not a problem.

Awesome doorbell, have been using it for over one year now without any issues! My dog loves it too, I just don't understand why he always assumes its for him when anyone comes to the house? There are other people living here you know?The melodies it plays are good. Sometimes I dance on the way to the door so it takes longer to open the door, but I am happier doing so. It's amusing to see friend's faces when they hear it go off - it's a confusion for a second, people looking for their cell phones and not sure who's ringing.It's a great doorbell overall. I would buy it again, but not unless I lost this one and chances are pretty slim considering I never take it anywhere. If it stops working I would be pissed as I wouldn't know if someone is at the door. My dog would probably know though... he is weird like that.

This device looks and works better than the original (of 15-years duration) that it replaces.This unit was very easy to install. Instead of using the double-back tape (provided), I drilled two holes through a template molded into the plastic backside of the transmitter and attached it to the door frame, using two provided screws. Rather than experimenting with different chime choices, we're using the default, which works fine for our purposes.

It arrived late, but only because our post office is inefficient and not at all the fault of Amazon.About the product, we love these lights and will be ordering more. Many of the previous revues had me concerned that they may not work w/o tinkering but NO PROBLEMS at all and worked on first placement like a dream. They work wonderfully. I can think of various uses for these lights and so many possibilities. As I said before will be ordering more for myself as well as gifts for the holidays. Making my life much easier. So glad I found them!

My greenhouses are 300ish feet from the lunch room. There is a change in grade and a line of tall trees between the two. We needed this so customers could ring us if we were up having lunch. It ALMOST went the distance. Would've had to set it up 10 feet into the parking lot. Doesn't work under our circumstances.The chimes are loud, clear and there are several fun ones. Sad it didn't go the distance.

This portable doorbell is what I have been looking for exactly. It is loud enough and waterproof..! It has a bunch of tunes, if U like to have music instead of the usual "ding_dong". The many portable doorbells I have purchased over the years, were way too soft/low, could barely hear them when someone was ringing the doorbell. It has 4 level of loudness you can choose from, FANTASTIC..! The price was good on this purchase also. If U need a portable doorbell, look no further, buy this one.

When I wrote my first review I thought that it was the first one that I had purchased. This was the second one and a whole different doorbell. Purchase this for screen room when I'm not in the house. Has worked great over a year.

I bought to use not as a doorbell but within the house. My elderly mother lives with me and needs full care. I was concerned about her needing me during the night and I wouldn't hear her calling out for me. I now have the Tenswall receiver in my bedroom and she has the transmitter with her. We both have more peace of mind!
