Good mic.
With microphones, you get what you pay for. Good mic.

This thing is wonderful.
I kept running into problems with wireless lavalier mics, and got utterly sick of it, so rented a set of these from Adorama. I don't want to give them back!! They sound absolutely wonderful, full, warm, and clear. Pay no attention to the absurd troll review with the fake pictures of this mic. Yes, it's a bit larger than the average lavalier. It's nowhere near as big as it is in the fake pictures. This is a terrific mic, and worth the price.

My 4 mics have been faithful for 5 years!
I have 4 of these for anchor mics in a tv studio. I love them. The clip is very durable and the cord is plenty long. When you need to change out the (one) AA battery, it is simple to unscrew the sleeve and get a new one installed. The bad comment below said the mic is too big. It's not. It's not a low-profile, but it is a standard lavaliere mic.

Mine is 25 Years Old And Still My Favorite Microphone
Over the years I've acquired a small arsenal of microphonesfrom the very expensive (costing over a thousand dollars) tothe basic inexpensive models.Years ago while working on broadcast productions, I came acrossthis industry workhorse beauty after hearing the clarity andrichness of the broadcast sound in many early productions. When I inquired, the microphone was the Sony ECM-55b.And it was a staple in tv and productions.I own a few of these microphones. As time goes on, they seemindestructible! They've been tossed about, stomped on, rained on,abused by amateurs ... you name it .. even chewed on by pets.Like the old Timex Watch ads: "They keep tickin and take a lickin."Many times, when I can't decide amongst my expensive mics, I reachin my bag for this one. Even If you have a flip style cam, grabyourself a XLR to mini plug for a few dollars and with the Sony, you've just added pro style sound to your production. After auditioning microphone after microphone for a seriesI'm filming this month, again I've chosen this microphone. You can't beat the quality built into this baby.
