This is perfect for little ones. Mines is 12 weeks old and slowly learning just now how to hold something by himself and is also showing signs of teething already. This giraffe is the perfect little size for him.

My first daughter had the original full-sized Sophie teether and it was good, but I always thought it was unnecessarily large. I was on the lookout for something similar for my second daughter - who is just starting teething - and found this version. It is much smaller, and has two curved handles that make it easier for the baby to hold. At six months old she's not the most dextrous, so the handles are good for her to grip onto. The softness is just right for a delicate little baby's gums, and I can tell it provides relief when her teeth are bothering her. It doesn't have the squeak sound of the original Sophie, but treating it as a pure teething ring it doesn't really need it. Yes it's relatively expensive, but it's a top quality product. Also, it comes in a beautiful box that will make it absolutely ideal as a thoughtful gift. (Basically it looks as expensive as it is!)

Mi bebé adora esta jirafa. El tamaño es ideal porque lo puede coger bien sin caerse. Tiene ya 6 meses y aún lo usa porque la curva que tiene hace que le entre perfectamente en la boca y le toque hasta los molares si quiere. El material es fantastico porque además de verse de buena calidad, no es ni demasiado blando ni demasiado duro. Perfecto para calmarle la dentición. La cajita en la que viene es una monada por cierto, sería un regalo muy bonito.
