Replacement Right and Left Internal Speaker for MacBook pro 15" A1707 2016 2017 A1990 2018 2019 Subwoofer Retina with Touch Bar

After a few years of dealing with my blown MacBook Pro 15” 2016 with Touch Bar speaker (left side), I decided to try replacing them with these speakers. I decided to just replace the left because the right one was working perfectly fine, and didn’t want to mess with the adhesive. The tools in this kit came in handy, and I only really needed the blue driver and blue plastic pic. A flat head screwdriver would help to with prying the speaker off too. After following the steps to replace the speaker online, hardest part being removing the speaker, I put everything back together but the sound from the new speaker was really distorted (low-mids). After doing some reading, most people were saying it was an issue with the adhesive not being sealed/strong enough. However, the adhesive on these speakers were just fine. I ended up fixing the distortion by simply putting a few pieces of electrical tape on the back cover, where it lines up to the speakers (you’ll see 2 small little pads on each side of the cover where the speakers will touch, next to the clips that hold the cover on the sides). I put a few pieces of tape across the pads to keep the speakers snug and preventing rattling. After putting it back together again, the sound was perfect! Definitely recommend.

UPDATE: both speakers are now dead. One has no sound in the other clearly has a broken cone. Purchased after trying (twice) a slightly cheaper offering. These work, sound decent, and are very easy to install. The included tools are nice if you don't already have them.

sound quality is good, working fine, but I can't tell whether the original one is better or not it comes with the 3M tape, once pry open the bad speaker, just stick this new one back on it. The tools and screw driver provided here are convenient to use, it helps to get the job done. I would recommend if you want to change the speaker yourself.

I had to replace the original speakers of my MacBook Pro because they had a cracking noise. The price of this product is super affordable and you can find the instructions about how to install them on internet. You need to be very careful to not damage other pieces of your Mac, but overall the installation is doable. Now, if we talk about the quality I might say that the bass is not as good as the original and the overall quality is a bit below compared with the original. Anyway, the replacement is definitely something you can do yourself, but the quality is a bit less than the original, but for that price, it's worthy.

It took about 20 minutes to do the installation. Most of that time was spent removing the old speaker. I only had to replace the left speaker, so I'm keeping the right speaker as a backup in case the right speaker fails. I had to use a metal nail file to pry the old speaker out. Once that was done it was easy to install. The new speaker comes with adhesive tape so it drops in easily. Sound quality is the same as the original. It was great that kit included the tools to open the laptop case.

Can't say if they're 100% OEM, but they sound reeeeally dang close. Bass is rich enough for my taste, vocals sound nice and clear, and mids are right where they should be. Sounds dramatically better than my previous crackly pair. First time DIY on this MBP. I managed to get it done with a pair of tweezers, no heat, no alcohol needed. I live life on the edge. Remember to disconnect the trackpad flex cable and battery terminal to be on the safe side ;) !!!! Saved myself $150!!

I replaced the speakers in my 2017 MacBook Pro over the summer with the product, but it did not fix my poor speaker quality. I figured that the problem was with my computer or not the speakers since replacing the speakers did not work. Yesterday, I replaced the battery in my MacBook Pro and I put new speakers from a different company while I had, my computer opened up. Now my speakers are working great. It is possible that I did not properly install the speakers, but wanted to share my experience.

Got these for my aging 2018 MBP... they do the job but definitely not the same quality as the original speakers. I would equate these to cheap speakers you might find in a Chinese bluetooth speaker -- minimal to no bass response and expect them to be overdriven with the slightest of bass. Do they work? Sure... but definitely not the original Apple quality I expected. I'll be on the look out for better replacements.

It has been a month since the replacement and I would say with confidence that they feel as the original.

The product works extremely well. The sound isn't as good as the original, but it works. The bass isn't as good. But overall it's still a good speaker and very usable. 1. Getting the back plate of the macbook is very difficult. I unscrewed it and you really have to put a lot of force to get that back plate off the laptop. You won't know how difficult it is until you try. It took me 30 minutes to remove the back plate. My hands hurt after removing the plate. 2. It is very difficult to get the speakers out. You have to destroy the original speaker to get them out of the computer. I took a knife and then slid it back and forth to remove the speaker. This will take you 1 hour to cut the speaker out and remove it from the computer. I recommend sliding your knife on the outer edge of the speaker. This will help you get the knife under it and remove it more easily. 3. Installing the new speakers is very easy. Just remove the sticker and attach it to the casing. Less than 1 minute to install both of them. 4. Plug in the wire is very easy. Just push it and it will snap and lock in place. Very easy. 5. Put back the case (very difficult). You have to slide it in the same way you removed it. It requires a lot of force to put it back on. I had to wrestle with it for 15 minutes to put back the bottom case. It is VERY VERY difficult to install. But if you have 2 hours, you can get it done. I was tired and my hands hurt after installation process. Be careful not to damage other components as removing the speaker is very violent. Don't damage the keyboard or other components. You really have to spend a lot of time getting it out.

Took 15 minutes in total to install these new speakers. They sound great. Not as good as the original one's but serve the purpose. Time will tell how long they will last. So far so good. Thanks

AliExpressにもあったけど、ちょっとした心配と配達日数からこちらを選択。 交換作業は元のスピーカーを外すのに苦労したぐらいです。 私は粘着力が強すぎて、元のスピーカーを破壊してしまいました。 交換したこちらのパーツですが、片方のスピーカーに不具合が出ていたので左スピーカーのみ交換しましたが、アメリカ人のレビューの通り、音質が若干落ちたように感じます。 バランス確認するために左右で聞き比べたところ、音のクリアさや表現に弱化の曇りを感じました。 エージングが進んだら追いつくのであればまだ良いのですが･･･ 純正パーツが手に入るのならばこちらでは無く純正パーツをお勧めします。 クオリティをそこまで求めないならばこちらもありかもしれません。 とりあえず音質はこれからのエージングの進み具合を様子見です。 まぁしっかり聞き比べたらわかるレベルなのでそこまで気にしないならば全然有りです。すぐに商品も届いたので。
