Titan Peeler Plus Julienne Tool and Slicing Board

I bought this peeler last year before the holidays hit. I give an annul party for my husbands work....at our home as well as I bake and cook a lot! I make all of my dishes by hand...from my candied carrots and carrot salad......the potatoes and sweet potatoes as well. My hands suffer as a result. My regular "peelers" kept breaking. Then I saw this one....and I ordered it. WOW! Does it deliver. It peels without effort. (I like using peelers as you don't waste as much of the vegetable as you do when peeling with a knife.) I used it and used it and still it kept peeling like it did the very first day. I have owned it now for several months and it works like a charm. My mother in law has never used a peeler and so I purchased one for her for Christmas. (I bought her a designer purse too! LOL!) She has always peeled using a knife but she trusted me. (I turned her onto steam cleaning with Shark and I got her a Dyson!) She knows I know my stuff. I also introduced her to "Coach". She called me after she had used this peeler a few times and just absolutely loved it. Her arthritis was getting to her and the peeler made making home made mashed potatoes as well as salads and other items so much easier. She wanted to know where I ordered it.....and so I told her Amazon....as she wants to get her best friend one. Trust me....buy it...you wont regret it at all!!

The peeler is super sharp and works sooo much better than my cheap store bought old peeler. It does have little ridges on it though, almost like it's micro-serrated, so if getting a super smooth look on the peeled vegetable is important to you than this peeler wont be ideal for you. But, it is crazy at peeling squash! I love butternut squash but was so hard to peel, until this peeler.The julienne tool is amazing, its the reason that I bought this set. I love love love it for making my prep so fast. You wont be disappointed with the julienne tool, promise.The mandolin.... yikes. What can I say other than that. Granted, the glass of wine I had was probably a catalyst to my mistake, but I sliced off the side of my thumb the first (and only) time I used it. I didnt know such a small part of my body could bleed that much. And, I wasnt even slicing a dense vegetable, it was a cucumber for goodness sake... Needless to say, I will not be using the mandolin anymore. But overall, I would still buy this package again just for the peeler and julienne tool.

My girlfriend and I love to cook, and I got these for a steal (was about $12) but after getting to work with it, I'd gladly spend $30+ on them.Honestly, the little blue plastic thingamajigg is ... interesting to say the least... The instructions say little to nothing about them, and It took us a little while to figure out how to use it... and no, I won't tell you... it was fun finding out.Compared to all the other peelers that we have, these are simply amazing. Extremely well built, and SO SHARP!... the Julianne cutter is just a dream.If you like to cook, and you know how to appreciate good cooking utensils, get these! =)

Not nearly as spectacular as the video claims, but it serves its purpose. I'm not the fastest food prepper in the world, so I'd hoped this would ease some of my preptime: It turns out I didn't magically turn into a top chef with the aid of this gadget, so maybe my expectations were a little too high. But the blades do dull so that claim can't be backed up, nor is it significantly easier than any decent peeler that you would purchase from a specialty store. Basically you get what you pay for, and unless you are a rank beginner at cooking don't expect too many changes to your cooking routine.

I hate peeling potatoes. This thing makes me not hate it. You can really peel tomatoes with it too, great for sandwiches/paninis.I tried the cheese peeling and it works, but the slices are not thick enough and a knife seems to be easier in the long run. The cutting board combined with the peeler is pretty useless for cutting thin slices too - doesn't really work. The julienne tool seems sharp, but haven't tried being fancy with it.Just get this peeler. It works going forwards and backwards, it's made from a nice polished steel material. I think I'm buying it for a bunch of family members.

Got this on the recommendation of a fellow foodie friend. I like it so much, I'm making up reasons to use it, and have banished my lowly potato peeler to the back of the drawer. The mandolin took a You-tube video to figure out, but it's a clever little device as well. Just keep all your finger parts well away from any of the surfaces. It's small and nimble to use, which made me a little - ummm - over zealous. I lost a couple layers of finger tip and finger nail skin. It's that sharp... The julienne tool is pretty slick. I made veggie noodles from squash, and quickly grated apples for a cake. A very small investment for a really cool tool.

I didn't really have a need for this peeler set but it was a good price and it seems like it could be fun to try to make designs. The peelers are high quality and feel nice in your hand. I've been able to make some of the fancy decorations but it takes some practice to get them looking really nice.

After I got these 2 Titan peelers, I was able to get rid of all other peelers I had in my kitchen drawer as I don't think I'll ever need another peeler in this lifetime. I am learning to use the Titan to make rosettes with radishes and tomatoes and they look so pretty and professional on a plate. Because it is so sharp, I keep it in a plastic bag. Highly recommended!

Excellent peeler. Effortless and very fine peeling comparing to my old one. Sturdy construction, should last.

Mine didn't come with the blue part. What is it for? Other then that it works good.

If you haven't purchased one before, they are VERY sharp.
