The Little Labs STD allows you to use long mic mic cables or tie lines to extend your guitar or any instrument cable without the loss of tone and increased noise associated with long runs of instrument cables. It also has two outputs for splitting between two amps or between an amp and a DI box, with a Ground Lift selection on one output to eliminate ground loop issues. This elegantly simple buffer circuit was designed to suit the instrument pickup for natural frequency response regardless of load cable length and will also eliminate extraneous sources of cable noise. The rugged cast aluminum base unit, which sits next to the DI or Amp box contains mating circuitry that uses high quality Audio Graded parts, including Elna Cerafine and Dale Vishay. The STD base unit is powered by two nine volt batteries that with regular use will last over a year.
