From the tulip fields of Netherlands to your garden flower patch, tulips are loved the world over. Jane Eastoe’s passion for gardening and Rachel Werne’s spectacular photography combine to showcase these gorgeous bulbs and show that anyone can grow and enjoy tulips at home. Tulips have more than 3,000 variations and their diverse textures mean that they can work anywhere, from vases to garden plots, from romantic bouquets to wedding boutonnieres. Along with the fascinating history of the flowers, Tulips details more than 50 of the most beautiful varieties, detailing when they bloom, their size, and, of course, what they’ll look like. From the raspberry swirl of Zurel and the petticoat-like frills of Weber’s Parrot, to the crystal rim of the Mascotte and the flaming petals of the Fabio tulip, you’ll discover a stunning range of specimens to grow, including historical and contemporary varieties. With engaging commentary on each bloom, easy-to-follow advice and glorious photography, this book will appeal to everyone who appreciates the majesty of the tulip. Review: Excellent review of the tulip with compelling photographs - I am very impressed with Jan Eastoe's recent book, Tulips. Already having her rose, peony and dahlia books, I was really looking forward to receiving this latest publication. I think she and her photographer knocked it out of the park. Jan provides enough historical background, how to gardening advice and hybrid specific details to make this book educational and useful, while Rachel Warne's compelling photographs make this a gorgeous coffee table book. Can't wait for the next book. Review: The photography is why I purchased this book. Close up and beautifully detailed in each photo. - The photography is excellent, and I look forward to the rest of the books by this author and photographer. This book has lots of information about tulips, and I discovered tulips I never knew about.

5 Star
Very Beautiful Tulips. The varieties of Tulips were gorgeous and amazing. It's a perfect book for watercolor reference pictures. Now I'm looking for another favorite flower - Irises. Hope I can find it like these two I bought (another one is Lillies)

Exceptionally Beautiful Book & Very Informative
I am almost finished reading this book cover to cover. The history of tulips and tulip breeding is so interesting. Eastoe selected some remarkable tulips to showcase in her book, and the photography is exceptional. My one suggestion -- I wish the author had noted which tulip varieties can be naturalized for blooming for several years without having to lift them each summer.

Book is great! Packaging from seller is not.
The book is great! Pictures are wonderful and vibrant. There are various types of Tulips and then information on them (when it flowers, how to plant/space and companion suggestions). Unfortunately, the seller shipped in a thin plastic poly mailer without an added layer to protect the book. The packaging was ripped and moisture got into the book/pages (it’s winter in Michigan and we have snow). I now have mold/mildew growing on the wet pages and pages that are stuck together. I understand I bought a used book and it wasn’t in brand new condition, but I didn’t think I bought mold either.
