A hard wax, slight pleasant fragrance
Preface; I am new to mustache training. I have always in the past just combed my mustache down and trimmed it even with upper lip. I recently decided to let it grow and create a nicer looking mustache. Current; so after letting my mustache grow out I realized I needed to โtrainโ it. I knew I would need some appropriate wax for this task. But which one. So after looking at quite a few I decided on this one. It is said to be good for โtrainingโ the mustache. And it had been mentioned that you get a mustache brush to help apply the wax. Results; this wax came in two tiny tins, one citrus and one sandalwood. Both scents are very slight but pleasant. As for that brush, yeah, no brush, but they were nice enough to include a free guitar pick. Why on earth a guitar pick and not something useful like a mustache brush. Also, the wax is rock hard in the tin. You have to really work at trying to get any on your fingers to rub into the mustache hairs. That being said, after a while of persistence you can get enough into the hairs to start holding them. But it does hold the hairs, once you get enough rubbed into them. Summary; like I said, this is a new task for me, growing out my mustache and trying to train it and get control of it. I plan to look for a different wax that is easier to use, not rock hard and nearly impossible to get up from itโs tin, or container. This wax does seem to hold the hairs. The scents are pleasant and not overwhelming. A guitar pick?

Good product but Understand what your buying.
Scent - sandlewood scent is almost non-existent which is ok as it goes with any scent beard oil and/or cologne. Citrus scent is a bit stronger. Has a fresh, clean scent but not overpowering. Being citrus I only pair it with other citrus products. Conditioning - works great as a conditioner but it take awhile for it to soak into the whiskers which is linked to it's holding ability. I find I get best results from this wax if I don't use an oil or a balm in my mustache. Hold - this is a light hold wax which can help in training the mustache to a basic shape. If your looking for a sharp handlebar this product isn't going to do the job. That being said, it's good for beginners to learn how to use wax. The stronger hold waxes can be frustrating to a beginner. As the conditioner part of this wax soaks into the whiskers it will lose about half of its holding power. It takes about 3 hours for it to soak in and it takes about 4ish hours before I want to do a touch up. The touch ups I do is mostly on the bottom of the mustache to catch the whiskers starting to drop down over my lip. Size - ppl have complained about the size of the containers. If you read the description it says .5 oz and you get 2 of them. That's 1oz all together which is what you'd get from other company's waxes. 1oz of wax used daily lasts me several months. The small .5 oz containers are perfect for pocket take alongs for occasional touch ups. Price - at less than 9 dollars this is inexpensive and does a fairly decent job for what it is. Other companies will charge $15 and up for 1oz of wax. Application - ppl have complained about drying white. You have to warm this up between your fingers before use and it's best to comb the wax through the whiskers before it starts to dry. This will keep it from leaving visable white residue. It's by far the easiest wax to use as it melts easily and helps beginners learn to use wax properly. Re-buy? - I'll keep this on hand for days when I don't want or need my mustache to be perfect but still want to keep the whiskers out of my mouth.

Perfect wax for beginners or veterans who want a soft hold
This is by far the best wax for two types of users: 1) beginners needing to learn to use mustache wax and 2) those of us who donโt want a hard wax. For the beginners, itโs easy to use, comes with a guitar pick that you use to scoop a little bit out and is mostly error proof in the application. So, if youโre new to waxing your caterpillar, this is an excellent choice. Buy it, learn your own technique with wax and then move up the line in hardness if you so desire. For those who have been using waxes for a while but donโt want a hard wax and donโt need a highly stylized twist, this is also an excellent choice. I prefer to curl the ends up just a bit with a natural look to them, and this product does the trick. It softens throughout the day but still holds the hair in place. Itโs also good for taming the stray runaway hairs without gluing them to upper lip. I like that I can still use my handmade British mustache combs throughout the day without them getting stuck. So, if you want a hard wax to really twist and curl your ends, this may not be for you. But, if your looking for subtle hold and a soft feel, this wax is excellent. And it has just the right amount of fragrance (per my lady friends). Did I mention the guitar pick that pulls just the right amount of wax? I guess, I did. Twice now. Itโs that nifty.

Tiny tins. Weak scent.
The tins of wax are VERY small. See photo for the two tins next to one of my usual wax. They are really small. So small that the pick the company sent along to use to scoop the wax doesn't fit inside the lid like most products. The scent is very subdued. This is a plus for me. A strong scent right under my nose all day wears thin quickly so I like a weak scent. But if you are looking for a very aromatic wax, this one isn't it. After a day of use I have to add to the review that the wax is very weak. Even after a heavy, double-coat my mustache is splitting and sagging. The wax just isn't very strong.

These work great for my Stache! The lemon scent is soft and citrusy, and the other is soothing and calming. They apply easily with the wipe of your finger or just the pick of a comb. Not to rigid, which allows your lip caterpillar to breathe and still have some flow. Thanks for the sticker too!
