Cute!
This is the first kit of this sort that I have done, but I am an experienced crafter and have built and made many of my own miniatures. I enjoyed doing this kit. I added some upgrades and made a few small modifications but mostly stuck with the plan. I was a little disappointed that the layout of the furniture has to be in exactly the location shown because it doesn't fit in any other way. Some of the small detail pieces were crazy hard, like rolling miniscule pieces of paper, so I would often improvise and do things my own way. Even though this kit is all inclusive, I think people with at least some creativity and problem-solving skills will have more success with it. Also, I have an abundance of crafting tools which also helped me to successfully execute this kit. Overall, it's a fun kit and I really love the light up feature.

Fun kit!
I’ve always thought I may like making dollhouses but definitely don’t want to make big ones, it’s hard to find a place to display. This is perfect and figured this would be good for beginners to see if I really enjoy it. First day I worked on it for hours! It was addictive since you make one little thing and move on, it’s not tedious but takes patience. I am already looking into more like this and will make many more again! Can’t wait to make seasonal ones too!!

Not my favorite but still very charming
Overall I enjoyed this, though I'm not as happy with it as some others I have done. Instructions were fine, electrical parts were easy to do, I did not have to contact customer service about anything, I had no missing pieces, and it is very charming when it is done. I think the only parts I had that were possibly warped were the two roof pieces, which was mostly okay but did add a little bit in my difficulty in getting the roof on straight (more on that later).Because the electricity is so easy (there is no constructing of the bulbs individually and wiring all of those, for this one it is just twisting appropriate wires together), the instructions are decent, and the room is relatively small, this could be a great kit for a beginner who is interested in trying miniatures but has no previous experience. However, this kit comes with NO TOOLS, not even glue or tweezers (this is my second kit that has had neither of these, though two kits I have done did have glue and tweezers). I was glad I had already done several kits because I basically at this point have every tool I might ever need to do these kits, but it could be a surprise for some to not even have glue included.Mostly this was fine to put together and not much more fiddly than other kits I've done (this is my fourth), but I did struggle with two areas pretty mightily:1) I could not get the roof to be attached very well. I think partly this was because the roof pieces were warped, but partly it is not the kit's fault as I am learning with each one of these I do that the more a kit like this resembles a box shape, the harder it is to get things quite square and sitting correctly on all the parts. As you can see in the pics, my roof once it dried with the lamp in place and the two pieces together, I could not get it to sit flush with the top of the room (nor could I figure out how to glue things together all at once to make sure they sat flush because I do not have six hands to hold everything while it sets).2) The wall lamp was suuuper fiddly to make OMG. I think I had to make it three times before I finally got it--not because it was hard to do but because it was kind of fragile once it was made so manipulating the way I needed to to get the bulb in was difficult without it falling apart. But, I finally got there. The overhead lamp was pretty easy to make actually (much easier than a previous chandelier lamp I made), except for gluing on the little flower thing. That just did not work for me at all, so I abandoned it and used a leftover shade I had from a different kit. And, gluing the lamp onto the ceiling was kind of difficult and persnickety. I wasn't sure I would actually get it to stay because I wasn't sure the glue would hold it up due to the weight of the lamp, but I got there in the end. And I will never, ever touch it again, even to adjust the arms which are wonky, LOL. I am afraid to ruin the magic of whatever is holding it together.

Will put you in the zone
I definitely have to do this with my 7 year old whom I bought this for. It requires gluing and cutting of pieces. For example, the mini table needs each of the four legs to be glued individually. We are not quite done yet with it, and I believe it will be a very cute miniature room. This is something I would not but again for my 7 year old, but for a high schooler or an adult friend.

Such good quality!
Great quality and good directions. These houses are so much fun to build when the quality is good!

For experts only.
I recommend adults only. Very tiny parts. Sorting out the parts and instructions requires much study. Do not open all the packages at once as it is hard to identify which bits go together. Keep the box, you will need the picture. My 14-year-old grandson and I had poor results with the recommended (runny) glue, I recommend a gel superglue and put dots of it on with a toothpick. The pattern on the lace for the lace-fronted cabinet was a large scale and not as attractive as the one pictured.
