Great quality for the price and sounds lovely!
Prompt delivery. Comes with a velveteen bag to store the various pieces, or could easily keep it in the box it comes in as its quite sturdy. It comes with a tuning hammer, some thumb guards (which I've not had to use, as I pluck using my nails) some stickers to make identifying the keys easier for beginners, and an instruction manual including a few songs. Its worth noting at this point, that a couple days after ordering, I was sent and email with a PDF attachment of a further 22 songs, which was a really nice additional touch! The instrument itself feels great in your hands, it feels and sounds like it's worth a lot more money. Its a fairly intuitive instrument if your used to playing by ear, but it takes a little getting used to using alternating hands to go up and down the scales, and it sounds beautiful if you're playing just one note or using chords.I bought this because I miss playing the piano and wanted a little bit of music back in my life, but didn't have the storage space for anything large, and im honestly very impressed at this wonderful little instrument, ive already spent many hours plucking away at it, and it doesn't feel like a chore getting over the first hurdle of learning the basics.Thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants to have a bit of a play around without splashing out and going overboard with either money or taking up space!

Beautiful Instrument
The media could not be loaded. This is such a beautiful and amazing sound instrument, i'm not really a musical person and i've never owned one of these before so I don't know what to say about it other than this so take this review with a grain of salt.I think it's a great starting point, it has a good price and it's a full 17 key one, I wouldn't know if the smaller ones would be better to start off with but i haven't had a problem learning this, within a week I learnt all these songs as follows:I Can’t Help Falling In Love With YouLove Of My LifeMad WorldHappy BirthdayRain Rain Go AwayTwinkle Twinkle Little Star(I’ve included a video of me playing the start of ‘I can’t Help Falling In Love With You’There is a great YouTube channel called Kalimba Tutorials which is like Guitar Hero videos but for the kalimba and is great for learning songs, I find that to be a good way to learn but others i guess would prefer music sheets which you can get online, or do what I do and make your own.Overall it's a great instrument, sounds beautiful, and it's easy to learn, I'd just say make sure you keep your thumbnails around 2-3mm and it's essential to play well.If you found this review informative or helpful please mark it as such as id really appreciate it.Thank you - Brandon

The temptation between the fingers...
Very happy with this. I think its very accessible to complete beginners but still enjoyable for those with some musical experience. I just wanted something to play around with to entertain myself a little during lockdown and I've really enjoyed this. I play other instruments and can read sheet music, so I've used free sheet music on the internet to learn all sorts of songs - my favourite is Scarborough fair. I found the booklet a little difficult to understand but sheet music was very easy as the notes are engraved on each key. You can play most songs in C major, A minor and D minor (possibly F major too although I haven't tried) although sometimes you have to accept that some things will sound a little funny as there's no sharps and flats, but that's the nature of the instrument. Adding accompaniment to melodies is easy as the basic triads of each key are all on one side of the instrument. The instrument itself if sturdy, attractive and the sound is lovely. I haven't had to tune so can't comment on that. It's also nice that it comes with a pouch to keep it in and a cloth for cleaning the keys. The only thing I find a little strange is the engraving inside the instrument which reads something along the lines of 'the temptation between the fingers' - but I guess that's Chinese English for you!

Lovely instrument
Mainly bought out of curiosity because it sounds like a very pretty instrument to play. I don't have any previous musical experience at all so I'm a bit slow to pick up on learning instruments, however I'm already enjoying learning this small one, it's easy to leave out so I can keep going back to it (I'm very much an out of sight out of mind sort of person).I don't particularly have anything to compare it to, the wood quality seems nice, the engraving is neat and the set the instrument comes with is very useful. When I get a better ear for it I'll make use of the tuning hammer. There are cheaper Kalimba choices out there but I wondered if the cheaper options meant cheaper materials used to make it so took a risk with this one, at least you get a nice velvet bag to keep the Kalimba dust free with this one!If you're interested in learning something new without it taking too much room or burning a massive hole in your pocket, I'd say it's worth the price, great for beginner musicians.

The Kalimba is a great musical instrument for the young and... Not quite so young!
Now passed my half centenary (!) and have had a go at playing various musical instruments over the years, but this is the first time ever that I have found myself starting to be able to read a musical score. The simple letter notation is much easier to play and the Kalimba Tab is also smoother, as a beginner, to play, but the ease and directness of playing the Kalimba is finally allowing me to focus on the musical score and though I am still stumbling at times I am finally starting to recognise what notes I am looking at - it is like learning a language that you hear around you every day, but have never taken the time to learn to speak yourself. So I would strongly recommend the Kalimba, both in and of itself as a musical instrument, and as a gateway into music for beginners of all ages.
