Pure Fix Original Fixed Gear Single Speed Fixie Bike

So far I love this bike. Installation wasn’t bad. I had to adjust the fork to align properly with the handle bars, install handle bars, front wheel, seat, and brake handles. I ordered the black/gold bike. The wheels were gold, but the seat post and handle bars were black, not gold like the picture. I actually like it better this way, so I did not inform them of the mistake. Also, they included a rear brake! All the reviews and descriptions say there’s no rear brake. The only problem now is that I’m trying to cancel the rear brake set that I ordered from the Pure Cycle website, but can’t get a hold of anyone. The order hasn’t shipped yet. Over all this bike is awesome. My first bike purchase in 10 years. I’m only 33, so my older bikes were always cheaper Walmart/target bikes from when I was a kid. This bike rides great. I’m 5’5” and ordered the 50cm Small. With the post all the way down, it’s perfect for me. It’s light weight and they even included a small bottle of touch up paint for the matte black color. The front breaks weren’t connected properly, so I just removed it for the time being instead of installing it. I haven’t had a chance to fix it yet. Definitely recommend the bike. It also came with a chain guard/cover that is clear and scuffed. Maybe I’ll spray paint it matte black and install it in the future. The reason it’s 4 stars instead of 5 is because the color of the handle bars and seat post wasn’t what I had ordered. My seat is low anyway so you can’t see the color. Also because the front brake cable wasn’t connected properly. No tools were included, so make sure you have a set of wrenches and Allen keys (hex) of different sizes.

I absolutely love this bike! I am 4'11", and got the 43cm x-ray, fits me perfect. XXS/43cm/micro comes with both front AND rear brakes, other sizes is equipped with front brake only. Packaging was a little disappointing, there were a few minor scratches on the wheel, from parts rubbing together during shipping I presume, hence the 4 stars. Bike was mostly assembled, I just had to attach handle, saddle, pedals, wheels, and make adjustment to the brakes.Update 8/27/2016 I love love love my pure fix! I've been riding it for over a month now, and am surprised at how fast it can go, considering it's a single speed! I'm able to keep up with traffic on busy city streets. Uphill is a breeze as well. The scratches don't bother me anymore, they're barely noticeable.

Arrived in a large but rather light box. Everything was neatly packaged and thoroughly wrapped in protective foam. Be aware that it DOES NOT come with tools for assembly so be prepared. Allen keys, wrenches, and a PRESTA pump lying around will speed things up.I assembled the bike in a matter of minutes and was on the road testing it out. So far the Hi-ten steel frame though heavy, carries a lot of momentum when it rolls. The brakes bite nice enough and the Thickslick tires does their thing gripping road of different grades. The seat though was super uncomfortable and switched it out immediately - the hard leather saddle was heavy and offered zero support.For the price and convenience, this bike does the trick. I bought this bike knowing that it would replace my worn down commuter bike without the fuss, and it definitely delivers a smooth, simple ride.

I had this bike (in the 58cm flavor via CL local purchase) before and loved it besides its size. It was a no brainer that i would revisit Pure Fix again as the indelible impression the experience left was of manufactured intergrity. I love my (correctly sized) bike and appreciate it’s modest YET expansive presentation.The bike was “out of (new) stock” when I ordered in through Amazon and found the used/returned condition to be acceptable. The frame and, bars, wheels and accessories came all together in a relatively well padded/secured package. If you have a modest understanding of bike assembly you will find about a 30min timeframe. I dont mind a bit of tinkering so this purchase was the right move. If you are looking for a fully assembled bike with a bow on it delivered to your door, go to Walmart. If you want a dope bike at minimal effort THIS is the bike for YOU as it was for me.

I'm from Pittsburgh so this was obviously the color for me. This is a really nice bike, I wanted a single speed because all the bikes I've ever rode with multiple gears always get out of whack and cause me trouble. I've rode my bmx bike for like 10 years, but I'm a big dude 6'-3" and I needed a bike I could cruise around on and actually sit down. The single speed is what I know and love. Its simple, but strong. There's not a lot that can go wrong on this beauty and there's comfort in that. I did swap out the handlebars and stem for Black Ops BMX stem and bars. That puts my bars 9" taller and a few inches wider than the stock bars that came on the bike. That swap made the bike more comfortable for cruising and gave me more control for doing tricks. I'm really happy with it.

Ive been looking for a fixie/single speed bike for the past 6-7 months, and I didn't really want to spend too much, since it's just for fun and casual downtown riding. I've heard a lot of negative things about pure fix from the "elite bike people" but looking at price, looks, and customer service. I felt that purefix was the way to go, and I was right.AMAZON prime two day shipping, no problems, perfect box, no scratches, or dings, and had no missing parts. Bike was put together really quick, and painless.Only issue is my freewheel is bad, it makes a knocking noise when peddling forward and gets louder during higher speeds. So I only use the fix gear side of the hub. No big deal, maybe I can get a new freewheel in time.Overall this is a great bike.

I love it! Great bike for what you pay. I didn't like the handle bars so i bought some drop down handle bars from my local bike shop. They happened to have drop downs manufactured by Pure Fix. Keep in mind that you will have to pay attention to the width of the handlebars you purchase as if they're too fat they won't be compatible with the bike. The bike also came with a bottle of extra paint in which i was pleasantly surprised! While i felt bad for buying this bike off Amazon instead of my local bike shop, my guilt was greatly eased when i discovered that the bike came with stickers too, yay! In any case, i believe this bike is a great all around bike for commuting, going fast or even neat tricks if you learn how to do them. Last thing to note is that if you choose to ride it in fixed gear and have no previous experience doing so then i would highly recommend preparing yourself mentally to fall at least once or twice!

I ordered this Pure Fix bike because I was looking for a commuter bike that wasn't going to cost me too much but at the same time provide me a good ride. A week or so later it has accomplished both with the addition of a great color scheme.If you are discouraged about this being a fixed gear bike their is no need to be. The rear wheel is a flip flop wheel and you can decide to use it as a free wheel bike as well (which is how I am using it at the moment).The components seem to be all of decent quality. After a week or so I can say I am happy with the wheels. The pedals are much heftier than my road bike, which is a good thing because I plan on wearing my work shoes while riding. And finally I the weight of the bike is impressive as well, for a bike at this price point I would have expected something heavier.If you are considering picking up a bike at your local hardware store, Walmart, or Target. I would seriously consider one of the Pure Fix bike, even if it cost you slightly more. The style, quality, and ride will be worth it.

This is a great starter bike and quite good overall quality for the money. For my intended use of just whipping around the city, I think it will do just fine. I think the weak point is the wheels. They were a bit out of true and a bit out of round. The spokes were not tensioned evenly. I think I can improve them with a few tweaks, but I don't expect to ever get them to the standard of a better bike. I'm not sure what material the rims are made of, but I will guess painted steel. The seam where the rim is joined does not appear to be welded. I don't expect the wheels to last and I will treat them gingerly over bumps.These wheels do not have quick release skewers.I suspect the frame and fork dropouts were not aligned perfectly because I had a hard time aligning the wheels relative to the frame. But after some fiddling I got it good enough.The brakes were terrible right out of the box -- I might as well have tried to stop the bike with two loaves of bread. But after resetting the cable they were still misaligned but adequate. I can tell the pads will be worn out very soon, and then I will align them properly.The warranty will only be honoured if you get the bike assembled by a professional, and then you must submit proof to Pure Fix. I didn't see any indication of this policy on Amazon or the Pure Fix website, and I think that is kind of misleading. So be warned. Pretty much I have no warranty.But on the plus side this is a beautiful and stylish bike that, from a distance, looks far more expensive than it is.Also, I was looking for a bike that could take a rear rack and poured over Amazon and other websites. From what I could tell, all the bikes at this price point were pretty much the same (I'm willing to bet they all come from the same supplier), but the Pure Fix was the only one that could take a rack. I could not see any pictures or mention of the screw holes in the dropouts, but they are there.Oh and one more thing -- mine weighs in at 11.5 kg (size 54), which is not by my definition "light".

Lieferung war wie gewohnt bei Prime sehr gut !Mit geliefert werden zusätzlich Front und Rück-Reflektoren, hintere Bremse, ein paar Sticker und eine Klingel.Montage geht mit dem richtigen Werkzeug und dem Know-how, welches ich nicht hatte, relativ schnell.Montiert werden muss der Sattel, der Lenker, Bremse hinten ggf. , Vorderreifen und PedaleBremsen müssen eingestellt werden und die Kette etwas gelockert werden.Der Lack der Felgen, in meine Fall Orange, löst sich beim Bremsen und man hat leichten Staub welcher aber sicher mit Waschen wieder vom Rahmen zu entfernen ist.Meiner Meinung nach ist das Rad für den Preis in Ordnung! Ich bereue es nicht und ich habe es mir hauptsächlich gekauft weil mir das Design am besten gefallen hat und ich ein günstiges relativ wartungsfreies Fahrrad haben wollte!Ich würde es auf jedenfall weiter empfehlen.Update kommt wenn ich einige Kilometer damit zurückgelegt habe !:)

Great build quality, the bike feel light. I really doubt you can get comparative quality fixie in that price range with any other brand.Its a nice looking ride also... so nice in fact, that I'm worried that this might be a bit thief attractive. Get a good lock and be smart about it.It was easy to assemble. It took me some time but I'm sure a professional would do this in 20 minutes.I'm slightly annoyed that they don't sell most of their accessory here (like rear brake), only on their website, which forced me to put two different orders.I wouldn't mind buying everything from there directly but the shipping to Canada is around 30% of the bike price for their slowest option, which make it hard to compete with amazon prime free two days shipping.

Nice bike. I bought one and bought another one after. The first bike is little small to me. I am 6 2" need 58cm frame. The front bike is not very sensitive. Need adjusted really close the rim. The front rim paint very easy fall off. I think the paint is powder coating. Other than that. All good. I bought second bike is 58cm black on black. This bike painting finish much better than the first bike.

I bought the India bike, but the one I received wasn't accurate to the photo shown here (only the rims were gold). I bought their bullhorn in gold separately but I did write a quick email to Quick Fix Cycles and asked if I can get the gold seatpost. I got a very quick and friendly response and they shipped it out. I'm very satisfied with their customer service. My problem was minor as it's just aesthetic, but it was nice that they were still very helpful regardless. The one other small issue was that the reflectors came damaged, but I had extras from my other bikes so I didn't care much.I've owned this bike for a year now, and I have to say it's the first bike I've owned that I actually genuinely love. It came as a freewheel, and after a while I easily switched it to fixed gear. Now, I have to say that previous to purchasing this bike I was just a person who just loves riding and never cared to do much maintenance. But I found their instructional videos on Youtube were pretty helpful for an absolute beginner mechanic.I would certainly recommend these bikes to anyone who wanted to try a fixed gear but also want the option of riding freewheel in case it wasn't to their liking. The bike is fun, functional and very robust thus far!

First of all I would like to say it's a great bike. The shipping was fast and arrived a day early. The bike runs fine no major problems. The one complaint I would have to say would be the brake pads. They aren't very good.(it's expected). I purchased the tango and it looks great. Also it came with a different seat than pictured. I looked on purefix's website and the seat is an additional 25$ and I got it for free. I'm happy about that. Overall if I could purchase it again I would. Rating would be a 9/10 just cause of the brake pads

Bicycle got delivered. Well packaged. Everything wrapped in cardboard and foam. No damage. Original packaging from the company. Easy to assemble. No fussing with the chain. Just put on the handle bar, front wheel, seat post and thread the brake cable. All Done. Minimal tools needed. Love the thickslick tires.

I absolutely love this review. I live in a part of my city where having a vehicle is more of a nuisance then anything. My friend previously bought one of this bikes and told me he loved it. I followed suit, and I am so glad I did it. It is light-weight which is great because I haul it every day up and down my stairs of my apartment. It's a great ride and I love the mint-green colour!

Right out of the box the front tire needed to be replaced. I took it to a bike shop to get it assembled and when they inflated the wheel for the first time the side wall of it bulged out so I needed to purchase another one, which is a bit of a bummer since you would think quality control would find this. Once I got the bike rolling it was a lot better. Really enjoy riding it and it has really good style.

As titled above and the manual was not that clear either.Will have to wait till summer and see how it actually runs.

Pretty good bike.Two minor things i did not like wasit did not come with a back brake andthe deep dish wheels look knock-offwhen seen close up.But great bike, recommendation, makesure everything is tight and but Pursuit Bars.
