Break Free CLP Cleaner Lubricant and Preservative Gun Cleaner, CLP-2, Aerosol Spray, Synthetic Oil, 4 oz

I've been uaing Break Free as a gun lube since it was NEW! NEW! NEW! which means I'm old. Before it I used the lube the Army gave me., LSA. It failed once in a firefight, so i'm real ly picky about gun lube, even though I've only shot at targets for over 50 years. Break Free is my falil back. I shoot several thousand rounds a year in SASS competition. I've had expensive lubes waved in my face at oputrageous prices. i've tried several given me by sales representatives. But Break Free works for smokeless powder. I only mention that because i've written a lot about black powder guns. Break Free is easy to use with the sprayer for areas I can't toucch, such as bores and internal action parts, and you don't need a lot. It cleans visibly, and a light coat protects bare steel from rust, I don't notice any odor at all, but then I'm 81. Spray it on, rub to a thin coat. It leaves no residue.

Good cleaning and lubricant product. I took my firearms out for a 2 day range trip I fired hundreds of rounds through several rifles and pistols. This cleaner made cleaning and lubricanting my firearms easy as spraying on, allowing it to sit for a few minutes, and wiping off. I have to use a brass brush only because I under lubricated my bolt assembly.

Will be used on fine machined metal surfaces as a rust preventative.

Tough when cleaning guns. But it can get a bit smelly if the area is not well vented
