PLEASE DO NOT RAISE THE PRICE OR LOWER THE AMOUNT IN THIS BIG BAG - we need some great candy at a decent price and THIS IS IT! I received my candy yesterday and opened it today....so soft and totally fresh - it is not easy to de-code the freshness date on the bag, but I did not need to. It tastes like it was made yesterday! I sorted out my candy - Chocolate vs fruit flavor and put the ones that are wrapped in folded wax paper into SEALED FREEZER BAGS so they STAY FRESH! YES, there is mostly CHOCOLATE, but also OVER 1/3 are FRUIT CANDIES - it is a perfect mix and true to what the bag states is in the mix. OF course, I have my candy dish next to the TV with some TOOTSIE treats for all. DEAR TOOTSIE CUSTOMERS: HI! I am one of you and have a suggestion on what to buy.... In my opinion, the TWO best CANDY BUYS right now (online or in-store) are the 400-COUNT CHARMS MINI-POPS from TOOTSIE ROLL (beats COSTCO by a few cents) and THIS 5-LB bag of CHILDS PLAY. Do like I did and BUY BOTH! GREAT FLAVORS in MINI-POPS and you can give the ones with flavors you may not care for to the kids in the neighborhood. I ALWAYS have some on-hand to give to neighbors' kids when walking my dog. If you think there is not enough fruit flavor in the CHILDS PLAY, the bag of MINI-POPS balances everything out and gives you a wonderful lower-calorie HARD candy addition – ONLY 60 calories in THREE (3) pops (because they are so small). Just be sure to put the candies in freezer bags - and IF you have room - into the freezer. I do not have freezer room AND have had 1 bag of 400-count CHARMS mini-pops for almost 2 YEARS in a cabinet by my TV in sealed zip-top bags and MORE in a sealed candy dish – with only a couple left, hence reason for this purchase. They are NOT gooey yet and surprised at this! I have not had tootsie rolls for a few years and thought some chocolate might be a good add-on to the lollipops. Enjoy this GREAT DEAL from TOOTSIE ROLL....I sure am.

There are certain gums I enjoyed when i was Younger. Bazooka was always a good value, i think i could get them $0.05 each. Big League Chew was also decent. I recently reacquainted myself with Bazooka gum, as I was looking for a sugar chewing gum, without a lot of extra stuff, that was what it was. Bubble gum. It had been years, but, so far, after going through about 100 pieces of this Bazooka Retro gum this year, it seems to be about the same flavor and consistency. When you first get to the gum, yeah, it's tough, but, that's how I recall it always being. Though, I recall the gum used to have ridges on it, now it's just a flat rectangular piece of gum. So, it's not all as I remember it, but pretty close. No big deal there. It's a decent chewing gum, but, the flavor does fade fast. However, the consistency of the gum's chew is pretty good. If you liked the Bazooka chewing gum from years past, this Bazooka Retro gum may not be exactly the same, but, it's pretty close. Also, the 225 piece tub of it, is a good value. About the comics, I see some people in these reviews posted photos of some weak comics found in their chewing gum, that are just jokes, and such. Well, none of the Bazooka Retro gum I have opened had those style comics. All of the comics were the same style as what I recall from the past.

Candy's fresh candies good. It's hard to screw up a Tootsie roll unless it's stale. These arrive very fresh however they are overpriced. I just went to BJ's and Costco's and they're not $23 for 5 lb but $14 for 4.5 lb. Am I crazy?

Best candy for parades. Can grab a bag and feel generous on the parade route. Great variety

i ordered 2 bags. i got maybe 10 packs of dots and about 15 lolli pops in each bag. be prepare to get tootsie rolls & chews . not a variety out of 5 lbs bags. very disappointing
