Changing for Love
I was totally blown away by this story. I wanted to hurt every one in the family. It seems that no one though Victoria could do the con. I was totally ready to throw the family under the bus. All in all it was a great read. I love that Dmitri was willing to do anything for Victoria. I was totally feeling her indecision about who she would handle the situation with Dmitri. She was falling in love with him and he learned all he could to be in the place he needed to be for the one woman who brought him back to life. I was so ready for the family to throw Dmitri under the bus. I believe I would have done the same thing that he did if I honestly believe the outcome would be what I hope my heart could handle and it was stop and go when he faced Victoria and her family. Secrets have a way of coming out and destroying a person or it be a blessing. Thank the lord it was the truth that won out in the end. Loved this story and all the characters.

Sorry I wasted my time.
So I did it, I finally finished The Player after almost a month of picking it up and putting it down to read something else. This book was the worst in this trilogy, I didn't enjoy it at all. I completely disliked Victoria and her whole family. They are all cons who prey on the rich. That is what they all do for money, taking what doesn't belong to them and what they didn't work for. Victoria spends half the book thinking to herself that she always imagined herself marrying another con man. Now for Dimitri, OMG he came off so weak. His desire to give her everything she wanted was so over the top unbelievable I couldn't stop rolling my eyes. Now for the big twist at the end absolutely ridiculous. Can everyone say creepy stalker alert and then we all lived happily ever after. The End.

I read every page, poured over every word, gasped and grinned at the twists and turns...
I told myself, when I opened The Player on my Kindle at around 6pm on Friday evening, that I would just get started. Get a feel for the book, and hopefully, be finished by the end of the weekend—children willing. It's now 1:45am Saturday morning, and I just closed it. With only brief breaks as I made dinner, or acknowledged that I actually HAD kids, I read every page, poured over every word, gasped and grinned at the twists and turns, and fell completely in love with Dmitri Sevastyan. To be clear, when I say completely, I mean totally and utterly. Gruff, broken, off-center—and very possibly off-balance—at first glance, this Russian billionaire is not your typical book boyfriend. Except...his protective extravagance, his dirty words and dominant tendencies, and his passionate obsession for Victoria were beyond sexy. Beyond swoonworthy. Dmitri Sevastyan was decadence, indulgence; a dark and scorching hot fairytale Beast come to life in the pages of one hell of a good book. No, wait, not good. FABULOUS. It had me, to borrow a turn of phrase from the con artists that feature in this slightly over-the-top book, in its thrall. I'm the gull. The Player is the grifter. And I have been (happily and willingly) ensnared. And I would be again. There's no doubt in my mind, I will be re-reading this book. Actually, all three of the Game Maker books. Why? Maybe the stellar writing. Perhaps the temperature-rising sex. Possibly the secondary characters that blend humor with emotion, making it easy to fall in love with them. DEFINITELY because the heroes and heroines in these books are sublime. Strong but broken. Smart but plagued by bad decisions and choices. Beautiful but far from perfect. This book now marks three times in a three book series that I've found myself fully immersed in the insane and incredible world of the Sevastyan brothers. And as the clock ticks ever closer to 2am, and my eyelids start to droop (I'm hoping sleep will bring with it dreams of Dmitri), I can say with certainty that the next time I'm faced with a book by Ms. Cole, I'll be sure to start it in the early in the morning, so I'm not finishing it...early in the morning. ~ 5 stars*ARC provided for honest review*Reviewed on behalf of Give Me Books

So disappointing. Do not read if you have any domestic violence or abuse triggers
I don’t even know where to begin with this book. I had reasonable expectations going in. It’s a Kresley Cole book, and I love Kresley Cole and her writing. But I haven’t really been in love with this series. So middle ground expectations. But…um…no. Just no.There were a few issues with this book, but there was one in particular that sunk this book for me completely. Dmitri. Holy hell does he have some issues. Even put into context with the reveal at the end of the novel, I can’t excuse his behavior. He’s like a toddler that’s been given control of an adult man’s body. Absolutely no control over his emotions or actions. All throughout the book he exhibits the classic signs of an abusive man, enough that I felt uncomfortable reading about him, and as the reader I’m supposed to love this guy?? Towards the end of the novel when he’s banging on a car window to get to Victoria hard enough to leave bloody smears on the glass, all I could think of were those creepy trailers for stalker movies. It was supposed to be a heartbreaking moment mean to show us how much he can’t stand to be without Victoria, and all I could so was cringe and hope it would be over soon. All of the heroes in this series have been a little off kilter, but Dmitri was honestly pretty terrifying. His intensity was about a thousand notches too high, to the point of a creepy obsession. Not romantic at all.Unfortunately, while there were a few other problems with the rest of the book, I would have enjoyed it if not for the creepy factor of Dmitri. His mannerisms are too similar to that of a real stalker for me to actually be able to get into this book.

Let down from the first two books
Dang this book had the potential to be so much better and I'm mad about that. I LOVED the first two in the series and was really really looking forward to Dmitri story but this was a disappointment. I had imagined in my head some possible plots and I don't want to hold it against the author for not going the way I was hoping but all in all I feel like she just let the series peter out and phoned this one in. Very little character development for Dmitri and as so many other reviewers mentioned the whole grifter aspect was tiresome and got boring. The last 10% of the book was good and I liked the wrap up of the plot but there just wasn't enough substance to make up for most of it.

Worth reading for the twist alone.
I enjoyed the first two Sevastyan brother books and went into this one with high hopes. Grifter Victoria Valentine is trying to con Dimitri Sevastyan to pay off a family debt to the Mexican cartel, but she gets much more than she ever bargained for.For most of the book - say 80% or so - I didn't think the novel was a strong as the first two in the trilogy. I didn't like Victoria as much I as like Lucia, the main character from the second book. The plot seemed to be going in Victoria's favour too easily. I felt there was no drama. And then... BAM! There was a huge plot twist that I did not see coming, and which changed my view of the whole book. Suddenly, weird plot 'breadcrumbs' made sense and I 'got' why Dimitri had acted in certain, strange ways. This is by far and away the cleverest of the three novels in the series and well worth a read if you like happy ever after billionaire romances.

Fantastic Fairytale
Kresley Cole's Game Maker Series is a favourite and this addition does not disappoint. The last Sevastayan brother, Dmitri, is perhaps the series' most appealing hero to date and Cole gets it right in the first few pages with Vice's - the heroine's - observation that he is like a beast in a fairytale... Beauty and the Beast would spring to mind because there are palaces and vast treasures for Vice as their story unfolds and at times she feels trapped in a gilded cage. While it felt a bit like a stretch at times to believe some of the plot tensions I really enjoyed the book and how it played out. Great plot twist/climax. Fun to read from start to finish, and while I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as The Master - if only because Lucia was such a strong heroine - anyone who enjoyed other books in the series will want to read this.

The third Sevastyan Brother meets his match
Oh how I love Cole's Sevastyan brothers... First Aleks, then Maksim now Dimitri.. So dark, so brooding, so sexily screwed up! This time around Dmitri, the tech genius and former drug addict falls for con artist Vicky Valentine, aptly nicknamed Vice. The sex between these two is off the charts, but the story takes a deeply romantic turn right from the start as Dmitri goes the full obsession and chases after the woman he's fallen in lust with at first sight... What happens next gets hot and ... Well, HOTTER... As Vice tries to play him, while he seems determined to be played. A great addition to the series, particularly liked Vice's family of grifters. Here's hoping her sister Karin and Walker, the elusive millionaire dad of her little boy, get an outing next... Please? Pretty please.

Too good to be true…
…and that is exactly what this book it. Perfection. I read the first two and whole Alex will forever be my favourite, Dimitri does not disappoint with his extreme intelligence. Read this book and read the entire series

A brilliant series finale!
A brilliant finale for the brothers with Dmitri taking centre stage and a plot with a superb twist I never saw coming.I adored Dmitri so much, my heart ached for him. And Vice was truly likeable in the end, though not a patch on Cat from the previous book. Which is maybe why the watch bothered me so much. That no one brought it up was very odd. That I came round to liking Vice so much after that, stranger still! Guess that's the power of a good writer and great characterisation.
