Be sure to make sure that this covers the area where you will be staying: We are staying near Crescent Lake and we are at the northernmost edge of coverage

Having hiked several of the trails he tells about, I agree with the huge loveliness he describes. I do wish he'd mentioned the memorial to the children killed near the beginning of the superb Gearhart Wilderness trail near Bly, Oregon. These were the only people killed by a Japanese balloon bomb in the lower 48 states during ww II, Ken Magee

Excellent book. We used it twice now. I was always looking for hikes online, but this is much better. It has maps of the hikes, detailed descriptions, even if you want to look for a hike based on your abilities list! I would recommend that for people who like weekend day hikes for sure!

I thought I knew of all the hikes in Southern Oregon, but this book has so many more! Wonderful maps and pictures. Great format. Highly recommend. From very easy to difficult hikes. Something for everyone.

Wore out my old copy so was glad to be able to get this updated version.
