Is this hammer specifically for neuro or is it also a convenient/good reflex hammer for physical examinations? thanks.

It's excellent for the physical exam in general. In fact, I would say it is better to learn with. Compared to the Taylor hammer I learned on, it is way WAY easier to elicit any reflex with this hammer. The reason I would call it neuro specific is because it is less of a screening tool since you will be able to find almost any reflex that is there, even if it happens to be weaker. (So just be aware of this.) It allows neurologists to better grade the reflex and determine the extent of an injury.

This is really good

Perfect reflexes illicited. The only thing is, it's head moves on a screw, so you'll have to tighten it from time to time. Apart for that, a perfect tool.
