There are a lot of power banks to choose from on Amazon, but Lumsing's design, capacity and price stand out. The harmonica shape, glossy black, and brushed metal is quite nice, especially compared to the big, white or black bricks/external battery packs I've owned previously. The Lumsing feels nice, substantial in-hand, and seems very well-made. It's a tad taller than my  HTC One M7, Silver 32GB (Sprint) , and I think the design goes well with my smartphone.The power bank arrived within 3 business days using standard shipping (from Kentucky to Michigan). I'm a fan of how electronic companies, particularly smartphone manufacturers, package their products, and opening the Lumsing gives a similar feel. It comes with a manual, cloth drawstring bag, and an 18-inch (1 1/2 foot) white USB cord. I prefer a longer, black cord, but this isn't an issue since I already have a few around the house. After tapping the power button, 3 of 4 lights came on indicating the power bank shipped 50 to 75% charged. Note: without a device connected, the Lumsing automatically shuts off after a few seconds. It took two hours to fully charge initially, using the HTC wall charger that came with my smartphone.I was able to charge my phone, which has a 2,300mAh non-removable battery, five times (see list below) before the Lumsing needed to be recharged. While charging, on some occasions, I continued to browse the web, watch Netflix, text friends, etc. During the fifth charge, the last blue light on the Lumsing started blinking, signaling the power bank only had 10% remaining. Although my phone was still able to charge, I disconnected at that point to plug in the Lumsing overnight, which took about 8 hours to fully recharge.Here's a list of my phone's battery percentages to show how I used the power bank after the initial full charge:1. Charged from 17% to 100%2. Charged from 57% to 100%3. Charged from 50% to 100%4. Charged from 47% to 100%5. Charged from 52% to 71% (the power bank reached 10% remaining)Admittedly, I'm slightly disappointed the 10,400mAh Lumsing only allowed my phone the equivalent of three full charges before the power bank ran low. I was hoping to be able to charge my phone four times, at least; you know, 2,300mAh X 4 = 9,200mAh. Instead, actual usage seems more comparable to 7,500mAh rather than a 10,400mAh capacity power bank. However, I realize this is somewhat typical with external battery packs.Overall, this product fits my needs, looks great, and appears to charge my phone at the same rate as the original wall charger (when using the 1A output). And I think it's a great value at $20. Additionally, I plan to order the gold Lumsing power bank for my brother, who has an  LG G3, Shine Gold 32GB (Sprint) .UPDATE 2/3/2015: Unfortunately, I'm no longer able to easily charge the Lumsing. After almost five months of use, the charging port on the power bank is loose. I haven't had any issues with mini USB ports on other devices (my smartphones, for example), so I can't help but question the quality of the port. Anyway, I was quite fond of this power bank prior to the loose charging port. Bummer.UPDATE 4/25/2015: After my previous update, I experienced a death in my family, and forgot about this review. However, I promptly received a brand new Lumsing power bank free of charge. I am happy with the replacement, which I've been using for almost three months, and my interaction with the seller was hassle-free.

I fully-charged the charger overnight.Usage:There are two main examples of why mobile chargers such as this one serve an important function:1) you are in a foreign country, and your normal power plug does not fit the wall socket. Joking title aside, If you don't have one, get one. I love this thing.I had a malfunction in mine (was not the unit, but the micro USB port) that came loose, which is common for those ports- (minus 1 star for that). However, I contacted these guys and I had a new one shipped out and in my hands within a week. They highly exceeded my expectations (+1 star).Since my first one was "fixable" and I didn't have to worry about breaking my only one, I opened it up.... Samsung labeled batteries, molded plastic clips and shock insulating foam tape with a very good looking circuit board with what I can tell are good components. I was REALLY surprised to see this level of quality with something so cheap.Usage: I use this to power tons of stuff from phones to my Pebble, even my USB power capable recorder for lectures/meetings. It has some juice. I've charged two nexus 5's and a nexus 4 (last one to about 75%) after using it some. It doesn't play.Its kinda big, but there is no way they could make this any smaller and it still have the same performance (no stars removed, if you want a smaller one, get a different one. If you want a good performing one, stick to this).Best purchase I've made all year.I will be buying more of these for friends as Christmas gifts

Broke in less than a year

It looks pretty slick and build quality is acceptable. However, mine only holds 5000mah when fully charged, i only paid £9.99 for it, so still an alright purchase. Bit naughty to claim 10,400 mah, so can only give it 2 stars....
