6 PCS Carbon Motor Brushes Compatible for Dremel 90930-05 Brush Repairing Part for 275, 285, 300, 395, 595(Type 3,4,5)

These worked perfect for a craftsman branded variable speed dremel that stopped working for me. This fit perfect and has a lot more spring pressure than the original ones. This is a real plus for the tool to keep firm contact of the brushes. This has my tool working better than it has in years.

I have a Dremel 395 type 5. It was intermittently loosing power. The brushes are very easy to find, loosen large plastic plug either side of the barrel and they pop out. One was so short it was missing contact. The new ones looked longer but that's just a indication of how much they had worn. Just pushed the graphite into the end of the spring and pushed the spring/ graphite into the hole and tightened the screw plug. Perfect operation straight away. Magic!

As a retired electronics/electromechanical technician I'm use to the fact that most things need to be modified/tweeked to work right even if new. No exception here. These brushes are a good deal but need some TLC to fit /work right. Out of the pkg. the springs do not fit over the "nipple"on the end of the brushes so a slight" filing of the round "nipple is needed. The carbon will go quick so file to fit and go easy especially w/the sanding if needed. My brushes seemed to fit in the housing fine after the spring issue was resolved for my 395 Dremel. I also have a old 370 that needed brushes. I had to sand all 4 faces of the brushes to fit into the brush hole. ( I used 280 grit paper but go slow.) I had to reuse the old springs as the new ones were too long but they did fit on the brush "nipple" w/o sanding /filing the nipple. The old brushes had a pig tail wire from brush to spring end cap that had to be cut. I just reused the pig tail cap on the spring end before screwing down the plastic brush holder cap. I suggest saving any old springs etc. as I had to either reuse my 370 springs or shorted the new springs and lose the end that has multiple compacted turns that fit the brushes correctly.

They worked just fine.

Dremel was operating intermittently. Replaced brushes, working like new. I did have to use a small file to clean out the brush holder so that the brushes would move freely but that was easy to do. Dremel now working like new.

They were a little big. Had to file the sides to fit. Works good again.

I use a dremel with a flexible shaft attachment in my jewelry studio at one of my benches for grinding antler. I use it every day so periodically it stops working and I get all upset until I remember that I just have to change the brushes on both sides of the dremel hand piece. Simply unscrew the plastic covers and remove the worn brush and replace them with one of these, replace the cover, tighten slightly and you are good to go! I don’t tighten the covers all of the way at first as I can get a little bit more use out of the brushes by tightening them later after they have worn down a bit.

These were great replacements for the brushes I burned out in my Dremel tool.
