It should do, most cars do have the OBD socket now. Best to locate car socket and compare. I used on an old Xtrail (2003) and it worked perfectly. Finding the socket can be a problem, check online for your model of car.

Hello, it should get power from other source to keep power for your car's ECU.

If I use a jump starter battery pack as the power, realistically will it have enough power to keep the car charged while I charge the car battery?

I used a spare 12v battery which was charged at 12.2 approx, used while I replaced the battery. If I charge the battery I trickle charge it in the car.
